There’s something special about photographing events that mark the beginning of a new chapter.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a freshman send-off event for the Stanford National Black Alumni Association , celebrating students and families as they prepare to begin their Stanford journey.

From the conversations and connections to the excitement of what’s ahead, it was a great reminder that college is about finding community, building relationships, and having people in your corner as you take those first steps.

I’m grateful I got to document such a meaningful moment for these students and their families, and I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes them!

It’s special when I get to work with clients on a monthly basis because I get to build the familiarity, rapport and relationships with many different communities.

I get to experience all the joys of building friendships at work without sitting in a cubical for 40 hours a week.

I’ve shot a dozen events for Executives' Club of Chicago in the last year, and they’ve become a great example of this

At this point, I don’t just recognize the people in the room, I genuinely look forward to seeing them.

Getting to build meaningful relationships with people I might never have met otherwise is one my favorite parts of being a freelancer

What a week!

I had the incredible opportunity to photograph WNBA All-Star Week in Chicago—from the Host Committee Welcome Party to the Media & Innovation Summit, All-Star celebrations, community events, and everything in between.

This week was a reminder of just how powerful women’s sports are, and how much momentum is behind them right now.

I got to photograph incredible athletes, leaders, and change-makers, but what stood out most was the energy around the entire week. The conversations. The community. The investment in the next generation. The feeling that we’re watching something bigger take shape.

As a photographer, getting to document moments like these is incredibly inspiring. I’m grateful to be trusted to tell these stories, to be in rooms I never imagined I’d photograph, and to keep growing alongside the incredible people and organizations pushing women’s sports forward.

This was a career highlight for me and a week I’ll be thinking about for a long time.
Thank you to everyone who made it possible. Here’s to what’s next. 🏀📸

Glacier National Park is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever laid my eyes. I got engaged to there last year, so it holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been thrice, all during winters, so I know I’ve really only scraped the surface on what the park has to offer. I guess I’ll just have to go back!

Like most of Olympic National Park, Hoh Rainforest was breathtaking! There were such peaceful hikes in the most distinct, stunning environment
