A full circle moment. Our first studio session together this sweet little baby was still in her Mama’s belly. And here we are today, just a few months away from celebrating her first birthday ❤️.

Outdoor season is officially open. This family has celebrated every birthday for their girls with me (including their very first ones at Prentice Women’s hospital)— and every year, I fall a little more in love with them. Bright light, birthday cake, and a whole lot of everything that matters.

Unpopular opinion: Fall is not the best time for family photos.
I said what I said.
Spring and Summer? That’s where the magic is. The prettiest golden light, warm weather so nobody’s bundled up and rushing to get back inside, and the most beautiful backdrop nature has to offer — blue skies, green grass, beaches, and wildflowers.
Fall gets all the hype, but Spring and Summer are quietly delivering the most gorgeous sessions of the year.
So if you’ve been waiting until October to book — consider this your sign to move that session up. Your photos will thank you.

One of my favorite things about this work is getting to truly grow with families.
Getting to know each child’s personality, watching the dynamics unfold, hearing their little voices yell “She’s here!” when I knock on the door — and the excitement they have to introduce me to their new baby sister.
I know I sound like a broken record, but sessions like this are exactly why I do what I do. There’s nothing staged or forced here — just the natural rhythm of your family, the love you have for each other, and the beautiful chaos that makes you you.
That’s what family sessions are really all about.

Being an observer has shaped the way I photograph families. I don’t rush moments or over-direct — instead, I guide you into a relaxed rhythm and allow space for connection to happen naturally. The result is a session that feels calm and effortless, where your family can be fully present.

“The days are long, but the years are short.”

We’ve all heard it — maybe even rolled our eyes in the newborn haze or after a week that felt like nothing but toddler tantrums. In the thick of it, the days can feel endless.

And then suddenly… you’re looking back at photos from last year. Or even just a few months ago. You notice the growth. The change.

It hits you.

It feels like you blinked.

Time moves quietly and quickly all at once. And one day, you’ll wish you could step back into this season — even just for a moment, even just for one more ordinary day.

That’s why photographs matter.
Not for perfection. Not for milestones.
But for remembering what it felt like to be here.
