Dark and quiet(er) places away from the main crush of the crowds; cool air a welcome relief to both photographers and cosplayers. The bubbling splashes from the nearby fountain a pleasant white noise masking the booming of the music from the party above.

This spot has increasingly become a favorite of mine in recent years attending . The lighting does not look ideal and post work can be time consuming but the creative challenge is engaging to me. It's fun to discover this spot with cosplayers you've taken photos with in the past. I've shot with at past C2s but this is the first time we've done more than a few quick snaps in the main hall. He and were an absolute pleasure to have this dynamic shoot with.

Just the first batch of quick edits. Still have a round of ECCC 2017 edits as well to go through. Life has been fun and busy since I got back from Seattle but there will be time for editing and posting more photos this weekend!

Just got home from Seattle earlier this evening. These were the "easy" picks and edits. Many thanks for the patience of these wonderful cosplayers during some of my equipment malfunctions. Still struggling to find a flash setup that "nails it" with a minimum of fuss...

We only had the three-day passes so our con started on Day Two of ECCC. I also ran out of disk space on my Mac Book Pro and couldn't start processing photos until I got home. Mostly photos of Maya (my niece) to start with. Ramping up to other cosplayers later on. Will keep on adding to this album as I finish.
