countdown to the new year | june was less about going out hunting for the perfect shot, but instead was full of capturing pleasant coincidences like running into a friend’s sidewalk sale during a stroll in the neighborhood, seeing the light warping the door of one of my fave neighborhood brekkie spot, to seeing a man who perfectly matched the building behind him as i waited for the bus.

countdown to the new year (and merry christmas eve 🤶🏾) | may was chaotic but full of art - though not included here, as i dug through my photos i realized i went to more galleries, exhibitions, markets, and museums in may than probably any other month. everyday felt full to bursting in may, like i was experiencing the full range of human emotions every hour. i think i ran off of straight adrenaline but somehow i was still able to slow down enough to capture the rays of light and the depths of the shadows that reflected my daily life.

countdown to the new year | i had so much fun in february that i returned almost immediately in march. i had a bit more time to explore and ended up getting to hang with several chicago friends who were serendipitously in the city at the same time. on this trip i also snagged my fuji xt5 (i couldn’t leave my first visit to empty handed lmao), which i feel definitely supercharged my creativity

countdown to the new year | in february i went to nyc and got to stay with some of my favorite people in the world. as we ate, drank and were extremely merry (lmao) i alternated between my fuji x100v and my film point and shoots (i think on this trip the olympus xa was the star of the show).
