What a year with so many beautiful souls who wore their hearts of their sleeves and let us really SEE them. See their love. See their joy. See their gratitude, laughter, fear, sorrow, and anxiety. All of it. The messy, the real, the humanity.

We are forever humbled you chose us to stand alongside you and capture images that will be part of your family’s legacy. And getting to do this with the person we love most by our side? The cherry on top. 🍒

Film scans arrived, so what better time to share part two from Jess & Brian’s engagement session in the city?! What a perfect summer afternoon we had to wander the park. They may have convinced me that I should be doing afternoon sessions more often! Just loved every minute of my time with these two and fall 2026 can’t come soon enough! 🤍

I moved to Chicago in 2005 to earn a degree in Commercial photography. I remember clearly the way people in the industry at the time spoke about wedding photography. It was obvious this path wasn’t an option for anyone who wanted to be a “real” photographer. So much so - that when I was in the midst of commercial & editorial work and a friend approached me to shoot her wedding, I made sure she understood that even if I were to capture her wedding, I was NOT a wedding photographer. 🙃

Oh how the tides have turned. 😅 It only took a few more weddings back then for me to realize that I actually LOVED wedding photography SO much more than the work I was doing. It was an opportunity to connect with real people, shoot work I was proud of (without an art director micro-managing all my decisions 🙈), and I thrived in the high stakes/no redos environment. It was exciting and as a full-on romantic and optimist at heart - the fact it all centered around a love story (really many love stories - family, friends, the couple) - was just the icing on the cake. ❤️

So remember, as you start into your next wedding season how vital the work you do is. No, we are not heart surgeons, but we are doing work from the heart & for others’ hearts too. The images we capture will sustain people during difficult times and inspire them to see the beauty in their seemingly ordinary (but truly extraordinary) lives. 💛✨

The love in this room for Jack and Matt was unmatched!! My goodness. 🥹 All I kept thinking was how there were soooo many people there and they all just love these two SO MUCH!! The energy was electric and the dance party was 🔥🔥🔥. Congratulations, you two! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for having us capture your love and all the love that surrounds you!! What a day! ♥️

Wishing the happiest birthday to my dear friend who is as beautiful inside and she is out. 🫶🏼

It was a joy to get to catch up recently and capture your sweet family on film, along with your newest addition, Esme Joy.

It seems like a million years ago that I was pregnant with our boys and you were freaked out by the idea of babies growing inside of you - and now look at you! 😅 Growing all these beautiful babies of your own! ♥️ I love you so much.

Oh my gosh we were SO excited and honored when reached out asking us to document her own wedding day! There is something so humbling about a wedding planner who knows so many talented photographers asking you to be the one capturing their day.
