***SUNDAY*** Chicago Fire Department Working Fire - 5122 South Union Avenue

Engine Company 50 reported a working fire in the rear at 1559. Fire was blowing out of windows on both the “B” and “D” sides in the rear with fire communicating to the window frame of the “D” side exposure. The rear door was heavily barricaded, delaying entrance from side “C”. One exterior line was brought around to protect the exposure while companies made entry through side “A”. There was slight fire extension to the second floor but overall a quick stop with minimal fire damage to the exposure.

***June 14, 2026*** Chicago Fire Department Working Fire - 1914 North Drake Avenue

0920 hours with a fire in the basement of a large apartment building. Quickly brought under control by companies of the 7th Battalion.

***June 13, 2026*** Chicago Fire Department Still
& Box Alarm - 530 North Leamington Avenue

Engine Company 117 arrived just after noon and found the rear porches of this 2.5-story frame fully involved. My arrival was 35 minutes into the incident. There weren’t too many angles due to heavy tree cover so I focused mostly on trying to capture portraits of some of the world’s greatest firefighters.

***June 12, 2026*** Chicago Fire Department Working Fire - 7236 South Morgan Street

The 19th Battalion had an attic fire in this 1.5-story frame on Friday. Fire came in at 1212 hours. Engine Companies 54, 129, 101 along with Truck Companies 20 and 50. Same companies would have a second fire later in the evening. I will be posting the other incidents over the next day or so but this will be the only post for this evening.
