Suave Swedes The Hives came through the Vic Theatre the other day and made it difficult to take a bad photo.

One of the best live bands out there. Oh and they're also touring with my favorite band Refused.

Refused's The Shape of Punk to Come was released in the States 20 years ago. That band and record has had a huge influence on me and made me realize music besides KoRn existed... Still my favorite band and one of the most energetic live shows.

This shot was taken in the opening moments of their first full reunion show after 14 years before they played their Coachella set. Logistics behind it were tough as I didn't even know I had a photo pass for the opener until I got off the plane on LA, and still had help from awesome staff at The Glass House with getting cleared to shoot Refused. But it all worked out and it remains one of my favorite shows I've shot.

Had a different SXSW experience this year as I only shot one concert, though it was a great shoot being the house photographer covering the Korea Spotlight showcase for KOCCA, the Korea Creative Content Agency. Love The Belmont, great venue for this show and glad I got to shoot there again!
