I'm sharing this moment from Sammi & Don's wedding tonight because in a rather cluttered and totally unscripted way, it showcases so much of what events mean to me - being a part of your community, celebrating the two of you, supporting you, and freezing your priceless memories in photographs.

I've worked nearly every Saturday of every summer for the last 10 years because I believe in the power of community. I believe in the once-in-a-lifetime feeling 2 people can share seeing the tangible representation of their support networks, united together to celebrate their lives joining. I've been honored to spend my weekends being welcomed into lifelong friend groups and intimate, emotional family moments. 10 years ago, my only explanation for why I was drawn to weddings was my extroverted tendency to enjoy being around people. Now, I realize it goes so much deeper - direct to my core value. Community matters. Tangibly seeing and feeling the support of your community matters.

It may be a luxury to throw a party for 200 people, but I think the NEED as humans to spend time together with our communities has become apparent now more than ever before. And this need is what so many of us in the have known all along. But here's the catch - Many of the hardworking people and companies that you’ve counted on to bring your meaningful events to life are in crises. Moments that we all live to celebrate, and that currently so many people are looking forward to having in the future, might not have the professionals they need to create them. If we do not get aid, many of these beloved will cease to exist. We are calling on our elected officials to see the and .
