Three years old, full of energy, and completely obsessed with his number 3 balloon. 🎈

We let the balloon set the scene, then gave him plenty of room to do what he does best: move, play, explore, and have fun. A studio birthday milestone session can be more than standing still for the camera. With space to roam and room for his big personality, we captured this milestone just as he is: joyful, active, and all three. 🤍

Before they meet the newest little love in their family, there’s this tender in-between - when the baby is already part of every conversation, every daydream, and every bit of love.

Big brother held Mama close and to feel the baby growing inside her. A small moment, but one that says so much: the tenderness of motherhood, the strength of carrying new life, and the love already making room for one more.

A little moment of celebration✨

I’m so honored to be featured in the Fall Issue of Heartful Magazine Heartful Magazine alongside so many talented photographers. I’m especially grateful to be one of the six photographers invited to contribute to The Story Behind the Image. 🤍

This section invited each of us to pull back the curtain on one photograph - not only how it was created, but what was said, what unfolded naturally, and why the moment mattered.

So much of what I love about photography happens in the space between planning and letting go. I can offer gentle direction, notice the light, and create room for connection, but the most meaningful moments often come from a family simply being themselves.

Thank you to Heartful Magazine Heartful Magazine for seeing something special in this image and giving me the opportunity to share its story with a wider audience. And thank you to this family who trusted me with such an honest piece of their life. A photograph may carry my name, but its heart will always belong to the people within it.🥹
