I don’t spend a lot of time photographing portraits during a wedding day. Now I didn’t say I don’t love taking them or that don’t love making them beautiful and timeless. That is where the art of wedding portrait photography is found and I love it. However the craft of wedding portrait photography is found in creating those beautiful timeless portrait’s in a way that doesn’t take over the wedding day. No one wants a wedding to feel like a photo shoot with a wedding on the side.

What do you do when you know there will be quiet moments when you want to be alone during your wedding day but also want those moments captured forever in a photograph? Hire a photographer that describes himself as ninja minus back flips and cool outfit and has the ability to lurk around (in a non creepy way I promise 🤪) with a camera in hand. When photographing dance my goal is not to just document it. Instead I try to mix these two art forms, that are in love with so many of the same things (line, shape, form, movement,etc…) and create an image that goes beyond just documenting what is happening, but instead captures the essence of the moment.

I have been working on a new approach for the wedding photography side of my studio. Not how I photograph a wedding ( I really like the way I photograph weddings 😁) but more of a re thinking of the sales approach and pricing structure. No prices aren’t going down goofball, but this new approach will help emphasize the things that I love and am passionate about photographing weddings.
