Here are 5 ways Zola helps me during peak wedding season:

I use auto-messages to save time, but always personalize them with the couple’s names and a clear hook. Even automated messages should feel warm and intentional.

2️⃣ Clear next steps for couples
From the first message, I guide couples on what to do next — schedule a call, check availability, or review my wedding guide.

3️⃣ Fast response time (5–10 minutes)
Couples often reach out to multiple vendors at once. Responding quickly helps build trust and shows that you truly care.

When I photographed this couple, it wasn’t your classic wedding look. He wore a suit, she wore a black dress. Bold, elegant, and completely their own. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do.

What I’ve come to love most about weddings — whether classic or unconventional — is when they feel true to the couple. You don’t need a big guest list or a white dress to make it meaningful. You just need each other — real, honest, in love.

I’m inspired by all kinds of love stories — the big, the small, the bold, the quiet — as long as they’re yours.

5 Tips for Photographers Heading into Wedding Season

Wedding season is a time when photographers are expected to bring not just technical skills, but also great organization, empathy, and top-tier service. Here are a few practical tips to help you make the most of the season, with less stress and more joy.

**1.Dress stylishly and appropriately**

Your appearance is part of your brand. It affects how clients, guests, and vendors perceive you.

A simple system:
• Bring two outfits.
• One light and casual for getting-ready and daytime coverage;
• One dressier option (like a suit or dressier dark look) for the ceremony or evening portion.

This shows attention to detail and respect for the occasion.

**2. Use multiple memory cards — and label them**

Memory cards are your “film” — and they deserve respect. One common mistake is reusing the same card all season. Heat and humidity can wear them down, and that increases the risk of data loss.

Tips:
• Use multiple cards (128–256 GB is a solid range);
• Store them in individual cases;
• Label each one to avoid confusion;
• Don’t store multiple weddings on the same card — it’s risky and messy.

**3. Prep your gear in advance**

Make sure everything’s ready at least a day or two before the shoot:
• Charge all batteries.
• Test cameras, lenses, and flashes;
• Pack memory cards and backups;
• Clean your lenses and check straps and holsters.

The more prepared you are, the calmer you’ll feel on the morning of — and the sharper your focus will be all day.
