Today is World Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day.
The thing about emotional abuse is that nobody sees it.
Nobody sees the years spent questioning your own reality.
Nobody sees the exhaustion that comes from constantly explaining yourself.
Nobody sees the way you slowly stop trusting your own instincts, your own voice, your own memories.
There are no bruises. No casts. No scars anyone can point to and say, "There. That's proof."
From the outside, you can look completely fine.
Inside, you can be fighting a war just to remember who you were before someone convinced you that your feelings, needs, boundaries, and reality didn't matter.
What I've learned is that healing isn't about becoming someone new.
It's about remembering yourself.
Piece by piece.
Truth by truth.
Boundary by boundary.
And if that's where you are right now, still untangling yourself from confusion, self-doubt, or years of being told who you should be...
Keep going.
The person you were before all of it is still there.
You are not alone
