The sweetest afternoon with these two at Garfield Park Conservatory and Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary, the place where he proposed. Engagement sessions like this remind me how special it is to create art with people who were strangers just hours before. So much beauty and meaning in that ✨

Sweet baby Luca made his grand entrance, and I had the joy of documenting it. Being welcomed into such a tender and sacred season in a family’s life is never something I take lightly. One of my favorite parts was capturing Mom and Dad sealing homemade wine they’re saving for him to open when he’s of legal drinking age. How special is that?

These are the kinds of moments that stay with me, and they’re the reason I feel so lucky to do what I do šŸ’š

Call me biased, but if your engagement session involves taps, laughs, and just being yourselves, I’m all in. Love comes in all forms — this one just happens to be a little hoppy.

These two didn’t just get married, they threw a party. So many firsts, but my favorite? Slamming the champagne bottle on the floor and officially kicking things off. This series displays proof that some of the best moments aren’t planned āœØā™„ļøšŸ¾

In December, I got to meet the whole Nowak crew after working with Rachel and Ryan over the years. They gifted their parents (the grandparents) with a session for Christmas, which always makes these times spent with families even more special.

If you know me by now, you know I like to keep it real with you. We can’t map out little one’s moods, but we can make the best of it and control our own energy by keeping a positive attitude. When you’re running on Christmas jet lag, that’s about all you’ve got. This crew showed up optimistic, and while the kids weren’t having it the entire time, we rolled with it and made the best of it anyway.

PS I always keep an unusual amount of blankets in my car, sometimes they come in handy. They’re washed between uses, promise. Big OG SpongeBob fan over here.

Chris reached out to see if I had availability for his and Natalie’s Chicago wedding in 2026. After booking, we started chatting about their engagement session, and to my surprise, I learned they now live in Colorado. The stars aligned since I was already traveling there a couple of months later for a wedding, so we met up at Horsetooth Reservoir in Fort Collins and even got to include their pup on their session.

They truly got the best of both worlds: an engagement session in their new home state, with their wedding celebration in Chicago this upcoming November.

I’m always so grateful for opportunities to travel for work, especially when it means connecting with my clients in places that are meaningful to them (and me!) Can’t wait to reunite with these two back in Chicago in the year ahead šŸ˜ŒšŸ’šāœØ

I’ve been incredibly lucky to follow Christina and Anthony’s journey since their engagement session. When I found out Christina was pregnant, I couldn’t contain my excitement. It’s so meaningful to me when clients return through life’s biggest milestones, trusting me to document such special moments.

On this day, we got to recreate a few images from their engagement session while also documenting how beautifully Christina is carrying Baby Sbertoli. I was also able to stay and capture their baby shower, celebrating alongside their closest friends and family.

Being invited into my clients’ life journeys like this is truly impactful and something I’ll never take for granted 🫶

Family portrait sessions with little ones are always a full-team effort between myself and the parents. Come armed with the songs, silly noises, goofy faces, and all the quirky things that make your kids light up. You know their smiles better than anyone, and when you share those tricks with me, you can bet I’ll be right there doing them too.

And then there was Ollie… who somehow manages to show off his tongue more than I do. IYKYK 😜

We may have been dumped on but I’m not done sharing fall with you yet šŸ‚

If you swipe to the end you’ll find one of my favorite moments from this session. I asked Jess and Benny if there was anything they could do to get the dog’s attention and Benny picked her up and spun her around and they came running šŸ˜†šŸ¾

Suzanne invited me into her home to photograph her son, Aidan’s senior pictures, and it ended up being such a great session. He’s really passionate about landscaping and has goals in that field, and he had their backyard looking amazing for the shoot. We spent most of our time back there getting a mix of shots.

While we were shooting, he told me how he bought his car for a good price and put in a lot of work to fix it up himself. I asked if he wanted to take a few photos with it, and he said no right away because he thought it wasn’t anything special. I told him how impressive that actually is - buying a car and bringing it back to life at his age is something to be proud of.

Right as we were ending the session, he asked if we could take some photos with it after all. Creating that level of comfort with my clients is a huge win for me and one of my favorite parts of this job.

And speaking of favorite parts - grabbing Suzanne’s mom (Aidan’s grandma) and getting a few photos of all of them together absolutely made my day. Ain’t she freakin’ cute?
