My brother passed away 7 months ago and I am still in disbelief that I will never see him again in this lifetime. It doesn’t make sense, my brain can’t understand it. I feel like I can just pick up the phone and call him.
Some days I’m in shock and some days I’m numb.

We just aren’t supposed to lose our siblings at such a young age. Our siblings are our memory keepers, our first best friends, they are the people we’re supposed to grow old with long after our parents are gone.

It’s okay to feel like you’re living in a nightmare because sibling loss is not natural. It’s not supposed to happen. And this is a club I didn’t want to belong to.
