I’ve been photographing shows in different venues lately, and I’m loving the challenge of new light set ups! Some are much less forgiving than I’m used to (and by that I mean it’s dark af) but when they give, they GIVE. The drama of these flares and spotlights have me lowkey drooling 😩

I am SLOWLY converting my website and photo delivery site to other platforms, but it will be tedious and clunky (but ultimately worth it). Balancing two social media accounts and an endless roster of edits has got my eyes begging for non-screen time 😭 (I just got myself a fancy new puzzle board…). As most of you know, is where my studio, my clientele, and my life is largely based out of. The Newport’s annual fundraiser is tomorrow, April 25, and we’ll be raffling off many prizes—including a custom portrait session with me AND another portrait session with in the same prize package ✨

As some of you know, I’ve been deliberately more selective with the free sessions I give out (in a good way, I’m just too busy!). Fun fact: multiple people have given me the nickname “little storm cloud” or “little rain cloud” because of the way I bring the rain (quite literally). I’ve grown to like it. Too many people want to be a ray of sunshine when they walk into a room 😅

Fun fact: the last image is right after I said something naughty (complimentary) that I can’t remember exactly (respectfully). I’m not saying hit on your clients, but DO hit on your friends (actually, mostly just ).

I don’t often get to photograph performers underneath their costumes/personas, so enjoy this very impromptu sesh with W***y LaQueue after I had a no-show/mix up, and he was in rehearsal (a little sweaty just for you hungry hippos)
