This sweet rainbow baby girl definitely kept me on my toes during her newborn session. She was so curious about the world around her, wide-eyed and taking everything in, and I had to work a little extra to convince her it was time to rest. She may have given me a run for my money, but once she settled, she gave us the most beautiful moments.

I love sessions like this, where you already get a glimpse of their little personality right from the start.

In the spirit of the recent space adventure, we brought a little bit of that inspiration into the studio.

This newborn session took on a space theme, and it could not have been more fitting for this little one. From the tiny details to the overall setup, it was such a fun way to create something unique while still keeping the focus on this sweet baby.

Three years old already. It goes by faster than you think.

These milestone sessions are such an important way to pause for just a moment and hold onto who they are right now. The expressions, the personality, the little details that seem like everyday things but change before you even realize it.

Whether you choose a studio session or an outdoor session, taking the time to document these ages matters. These are the years that pass the quickest.

Three years old and full of personality.

I have been photographing this little man since his newborn session, and he has been a blast every single time I see him. This year was no different. So many expressions, so much energy, and so much fun to photograph.

We decided to try something a little different for his session and incorporate digital backdrops. Mom trusted my vision, and I am so grateful she did. This is a new skill I have been working on, and I am honestly really happy with how these turned out for a first go.

The best part about adding digital backdrops is the creative freedom it brings. It allows me to create scenes and tell stories in ways that are not always possible with what I physically have in the studio, and that opens the door to so many fun ideas for future sessions.

Thank you for trusting me to continue documenting these milestones. Watching him grow has truly been something special.

Some sessions are just a little extra special, and this was one of them.

I met this sweet couple about a year ago, and it did not take long before they became friends. When I heard they were expecting, I was so excited for them. When they asked me to photograph their baby’s newborn session, I was truly honored and, honestly, a little ecstatic.

We had some fun with this session and added a chef setup as a nod to their love of cooking and their catering business. It fit them perfectly. This little guy came with so many expressions, and he kept us smiling the entire time. Check out the very last photo! I would title it, " Really, what am I doing in a stock pot?" LOL!

One of my favorite details from this session is the tiny blanket with the bunny. That blanket is very special to me. My dad came home from the hospital in it in the 1940s, and it is still in incredible shape. I love bringing it out in the spring and around Easter for special babies like this.

Thank you to this wonderful family for trusting me with these moments. I am so looking forward to watching this little guy grow.
