Just a reminder that I will be gone from September 6th to the 13th! I will still be responding to messages but it may be slower than normal due to me hanging out and enjoying time with friends and family.

Editing will also take longer due to the fact I am not able to bring my editing computer with me, so please be patient.

One of my favorite parts of photography that nobody really talks about…

THE EDITING. 😂

You guys see the final image, but there’s a whole process behind it.

Sorting through hundreds of photos.
Finding the moments that feel the most like YOU.
Color correcting.
Editing skin.
Fixing tiny distractions.
Making sure everything feels cohesive.

And then suddenly I’m staring at my screen like:

“🥹 OH MY GOD LOOK AT THEM.”

Every. Single. Time.

Spoiler: it’s not just “okay, everybody smile!”

There’s a LOT of:
“Okay, walk over here.”
“Look at each other.”
“Act like you like each other!”
“Now tickle your brother.”
“Okay STOP tickling him.” 😂
“Mom, fix his shirt.”
“Actually never mind, leave it.”
“YES. THAT. HOLD THAT.”
“PERFECT! YAAAAAS”

And somewhere in all that chaos, we get the good stuff. 🤎

If you’re planning family photos this fall, please don’t feel like everyone has to match.

I LOVE when families coordinate instead of wearing the exact same thing.

Think:
🤎 warm neutrals
🍷 burgundy (NO BRIGHT REDS 🫪)
🌿 muted sage
🍁 burnt orange
💛 mustard yellows
🩶 charcoal
🤍 cream
👖 denim

And please, please remember that you want to be comfortable enough to actually MOVE during your session.

Because the best photos usually happen when we stop worrying about the camera and just hang out together. 🥹
