That's a wrap on cap and gown sessions for the Class of 2026! Thank you to everyone who made time amidst their busy graduation festivities to come see me!

This week was especially busy with Cheyenne schools getting their caps and gowns on Tuesday and trying to fit everyone in before graduation yesterday. It was a little windy, a little rainy, but we got them done!

This year, I've photographed grads from Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Triumph High School, Kelly Walsh High School, University of Wyoming and the Colorado School of Mines. It's been fun seeing all the different traditions schools have to celebrate graduation. Did you know that Mines grads get to wear Stetsons with their tassels instead of mortar boards?! So cool.

A huge congrats to all this year's grads and their families!! Have a wonderful weekend celebrating!

I know it's been a little quiet around here on social media lately, but I've been running between sessions and delivering galleries like crazy. I feel like I took a lot of photos when my kids were little, but not as many when they hit junior high. Tween portrait sessions can happen any time of year in the studio, and they are a fun way to show off kids' personalities and the style they are cultivating as they grow up and learn to be more independent.

And I feel SO lucky I got to photograph this absolutely gorgeous girl again in the studio here in Cheyenne! She's truly just as sweet and lovely in personality as she is photogenic. Thank you, Miss R, for hanging out with me again this year! So great seeing you and your mom again!

Summer sessions can't start soon enough! Spring is a tricky time in Wyoming...everything in town stays brown for quite awhile. I've been sneaking up to Curt Gowdy lately on nicer days for some pine trees, beautiful skies and a little more color. This evening was warm and breezy, but we had so much fun being outside and hiking around. Thanks, Emily and Michael! Can't wait for your big day!

Snow has been elusive this year, but we managed to grab some wintery senior photos before the season was totally over.

Cate is my first Class of 2027 graduate to be photographed. Why do these so early, you might ask? If seniors want to use any winter photos for their yearbook photo (due in the fall), we actually have to take them during their junior year.

Cate is a big fan of skiing, so we knew we wanted to do one portion of her senior photos near Steamboat before the snow was totally gone. Surprisingly, the snow up here was DEEP! We needed snow shoes just to get around and not sink up to our thighs! She was such a trooper.
