When you don't have room on your letter jacket for all the 'State Champ' stars, when you have so many school record batons that you can't hold them all at once, and when holding all the metals you have accumulated over the last four years might make you sore the next day, you know it's been a GOOD RUN (every pun intended)! I love this girl so much. And despite all of her amazing accomplishments, she is the most humble, lovely human imaginable.

You probably notice I photograph a lot of distance runners. I will maintain that cross country kids are the best kids. Goal driven, focused, determined, and willing to push themselves to the point of full-on collapse for their teammates. And while my runner wears red, and this one wears blue, I will always consider Maggie a part of our extended family of runners and friends. I am so grateful to have been on this journey with this amazing family.

Maggie, a huge congrats on all that you've accomplished so far. I know you're just getting started, and I can't wait to keep cheering you on!

The fastest human in our house is also my 'art director' for her team poster. Sofia came up with all kinds of antics for the Central High School Cross Country photoshoot. I put this together using a few of the photos we got that evening. Our goal? A team poster that feels different than anything we'd seen as far as team posters go. And if I'm totally honest, I really love how this turned out. That might be in part because I hear the electric guitar to this Cake song in my head every time I look at it. ("dun nut, dun nut, dun nut, dun nut, da, da, da dut...")

Today is the Wyoming 4A Southeast Regional meet here in Cheyenne at Prairie View Golf Course. Go support some of the hardest working kids around if you have a minute!

Our fall color was incredible this year! It started in late September and seemed to last almost all the way through this week. Today might have finally zapped it, but I think we'll still have a little residual color in the coming week before we're fully into winter mode. I met this lovely Laramie family in the mountains in late September, and we seemed to hit fall color right on time. Thank you, B family, for a gorgeous evening!

Gosh, this is one that got me. Ben has been in our lives since we signed Sofia up for Kindergarten. In fact, we met his parents in the Jessup KG sign-up line at 5 in the morning, way back when Jessup was super full and we weren't sure if we'd be able to get Sofia in, despite living a block away from the school. We've had ski weekends, singalongs, dinners, and family camping trips everywhere from here to the Tetons.

I adore this kid and his amazing family. This family has gotten me through more ups and downs in life than I can count. I am feeling so grateful we stepped in line right behind them on that early spring morning all those years ago.

And I am especially grateful to have been the one to capture Ben's senior photos on a lovely fall evening last month. Well....it was lovely out at Curt Gowdy. It was a lightening storm here in town that we had to dodge. But he rolled with it and kept smiling, despite being super annoyed with his mom and me for all of our ridiculous antics.

Love you, B family! Can't believe we're already here!! Seems like yesterday they were walking into that kindergarten room. Congrats on your senior year, Ben! I am so excited to see what adventures are ahead for you!

Paola is truly just as stunning inside as out. I've heard about so many of these friends through my daughter being in school with them, and it's been so wonderful getting to finally meet them and get to know them a bit during their senior sessions. I remember when Sofia first saw that she was on my calendar, she said, "Oh you're going to love Paola. She's the sweetest." And she's right. I feel so fortunate that my girls have had these amazing classmates by their sides during their high school years. The Class of 2027 is full of brilliant, kind, wonderful humans about to take on the world! I can't wait to see where life takes them!! Thank you, Paola, for letting me photograph you and a big congrats on your senior year!!

It's been a minute! I've been shooting non-stop the last few weeks. One day, I had ten sessions in one day (not recommended!). I also had two weddings last week, one of which was in Dubois at the most perfect venue imaginable.

Caitlyn and Chase were married at the CM Ranch, surrounded by lovely people, amazing views, and an all-around gorgeous day.

The weather has been a touch unpredictable around these parts! This has been the summer of very unreliable forecasts. I have to admit, though, with a family like this who is willing to giggle through the sprinkles, I really don't mind. Thank you, S family, for being so incredibly awesome!!
