Law firms, political campaigns, local businesses, business owners, professionals — I’ve had such a fun mix of people in front of my camera lately.

I think my favorite part of headshots is figuring out how to make something polished and professional without making someone look like they’ve been replaced by their LinkedIn alter ego. Good headshots should still look like you — just you on a particularly good day with excellent lighting.

Last night was a celebration session.

Brené Brown says grace is when our mistakes serve a purpose instead of serving shame, and that vulnerability is the clearest measure of courage.

Grace is hard-won. It lives on the vulnerable path—the one that asks us to step into discomfort in pursuit of joy, peace, and healing. The gifts waiting on the other side of humility are often in proportion to how willing we are to be vulnerable.

Choosing recovery is choosing a depth of vulnerability most people can’t fathom. And that kind of choice takes a hell of a lot of courage.

The lie is dead, we do .
