America is turning 250 — and Big Boy 4014 is helping lead the celebration.

The second leg of Union Pacific’s Coast to Coast Tour gets underway in Cheyenne, Wyoming. 4014 had a busy morning! Big Boy shoved back out of the shop and changed track before heading west. It turned at the Speer wye, steamed beneath the historic Colorado & Southern bridge, and pulled into the Cheyenne Depot in one of the most historic railroad towns in the American West. After arrival the dedicated UP steam crew got to work keeping this beast road-ready for #

the miles ahead.
