Some wedding days are just so incredibly beautiful that you wish you could bottle them up and relive them over and over again. Yesterday was ONE of those days!!!

Victoria and Husam's wedding at one of my absolute FAVORITE venues, The Allure on the Lake, was nothing short of a DREAM from the moment I arrived until the moment I left!

Every. Single. Detail. 😍 The vibrant florals, the gorgeous fall colors, Victoria looking absolutely breathtaking, and THE SUNSHINE!!! Oh my goodness, that dreamy, glowy sunlight had my photographer heart beating a million miles a minute ALL DAY LONG!!!

But as beautiful as everything was, it was the moments that made this day unforgettable.

Husam's reaction to seeing his beautiful bride during their first look?! I AM STILL NOT OVER IT. 🥹 There is just something so incredibly special about witnessing that kind of love. The way two people look at each other when the rest of the world seems to disappear for just a moment. THAT is why I love what I do.

And then... THE RECEPTION!!! 🔥

When I say this was a PARTY, I mean it was a PARTY!!! The energy, the dancing, the celebration, and Husam literally being THROWN INTO THE AIR multiple times!!! I don't think I've ever smiled and laughed so much behind my camera! What an absolute BLAST!!!

And can we talk about the COFFEE BAR?! Because I may or may not have had more than one pumpkin spice iced latte. 🤭☕️ No regrets!!!

Victoria and Husam, THANK YOU for allowing me to be part of such an extraordinary day. Your love, your families, your traditions, and the joy that surrounded you were so beautiful to witness. These are the moments that remind me what an incredible privilege it is to tell love stories for a living.

**Wedding TWO of TWO this weekend!** 🤍✨

Angelique & Kevin | The Pavilion at Sandy Pines

If Hallmark made a movie about the PERFECT October wedding day, I am convinced it would look exactly like this one. 🥹🤍

I don't think we could have asked for a more beautiful day for these two! The warmest October weather, the most breathtaking gardens, a couple so genuinely happy to be marrying one another, and a day that felt like something straight out of a fairytale.

And can we talk about the ceremony for a second?! 😭 As the pastor was announcing Angelique and Kevin as HUSBAND AND WIFE and inviting them to share their first kiss, a RANDOM FIREWORK went off in the distance!!! I mean, COME ON!! You literally cannot script a moment more perfect than that! It was like God added a little extra sparkle to an already beautiful moment. ✨

From the sweetest moments throughout the day to a sunset that absolutely STOLE MY HEART, everything about this wedding was pure magic. And we ended the night with sparklers, because apparently this day just couldn't stop being beautiful!

Angelique and Kevin, what an absolute JOY it was to capture the beginning of your forever. Your day was filled with so much love, laughter, and beauty, and I hope every time you look back at these photographs, you're reminded of just how special it all was.

**Wedding ONE of TWO this weekend! 🤍✨**

Friday was the sweetest beginning to a weekend filled with LOVE!!

Katie & Rob's wedding day was one of those days that reminds me just how beautiful love truly is. Not just the love between a bride and groom, but the love of a FAMILY coming together. And goodness, does that make my heart happy! 🥹🤍

From Katie sharing the sweetest first looks with her son and her soon-to-be husband, to watching these two promise forever surrounded by the people they love most, every part of their day was so incredibly special.

And can we talk about how BEAUTIFUL this day was?! The soft fall colors, the gorgeous sunshine, the dreamiest golden-hour portraits, and a celebration filled with so much joy! It was the perfect reminder that sometimes the sweetest moments are the ones you simply get to slow down and soak in.

As someone with a blended family myself, these love stories will always hold such a special place in my heart. Because sometimes love isn't just about two people beginning a new chapter together. It's about creating a beautiful new story as a family. And what a gift that is. 🤍

Lina + Evan 🤍

Okayyyy… I officially have WAY too many favorites from this engagement session. 😭

From the very beginning, these two were laughing, teasing each other, snuggling up, and just having the BEST time together. And honestly? Those are always my favorite kinds of sessions — the ones where somewhere along the way, you forget we’re even taking pictures and you’re just enjoying being together.

We had the most perfect fall evening, the prettiest golden light, and SO. MUCH. LAUGHTER. 🤍🍂✨

And can we talk about the way Evan looks at Lina?! Or the absolute JOY on her face?! These two made my job way too easy.

Engagement sessions like this are exactly why I love what I do. Yes, we create beautiful photographs, but even more than that, you get to slow down for an evening, love on your person, laugh until your cheeks hurt, and soak in this little season before you become husband and wife.

Lina + Evan, I already know your wedding day is going to be something so incredibly special. If this session was any indication, we are going to have WAY too much fun. 🤍

Friday was one of those wedding days that felt a little bit like a movie. ✨

I had the incredible privilege of photographing Stephanie + Heath as they said I do in the heart of downtown Chicago, and I seriously could not have dreamed up a more perfect day for them.

We started with their first look at the Wrigley Building (I mean… could there BE a more iconic Chicago backdrop?! 😍), and then spent the afternoon strolling through the city, stopping anywhere the light and architecture caught my eye as we made our way toward the Odyssey.

But one of my favorite parts of their day was their bridal party. Instead of a traditional wedding party, Stephanie + Heath were surrounded by their children—the beautiful blended family they’ve created together. 🤍 There was something so incredibly special about watching all of them celebrate not just a marriage, but the joining of a family.

And then… a ceremony and reception cruising down the Chicago River?! 😭✨ The skyline surrounding them, the sun shining, absolutely PERFECT weather, and all of their favorite people gathered together as they promised forever.

Chicago absolutely SHOWED OFF for these two. ☀️🏙️

Some wedding days just feel peaceful from beginning to end… and Emmi & Matthew’s was exactly that. 🤍

The most beautiful day at White Oak Farm, the sweetest couple, gorgeous sunshine, and somehow not one thing went wrong all day. Everything just flowed. It was easygoing, joyful, and full of so many little moments that made their day feel completely them.

But this wedding ended up holding a really special moment for me, too.
That morning, before I ever arrived, I had been ALL MORNING praying. There has been so much uncertainty in my own life lately, and I found myself asking God, “Lord, I just need to hear Your voice. Please speak to me.”

Then, while photographing Emmi’s details, I opened her vow book.
Written inside was Proverbs 3:5-6.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

And I just knew. 🤍

God has such a beautiful way of meeting us exactly where we are. Sometimes it’s in the big moments, and sometimes it’s quietly, in the middle of photographing someone else’s wedding day, through a verse tucked inside a little green vow book.

I may have been there to document Emmi + Matthew’s story, but God used a piece of their day to speak directly into mine.

What a beautiful reminder that when we don’t know what’s ahead, we can still trust the One who does.

There are some evenings that just feel like a little gift from God. 🤍
After all of these gloomy days lately, I keep finding myself thinking back to this night with the Utley family—the warm sun, bare feet in the sand, little ones playing in the water, and the most beautiful sunset over the lake. We could even see the Chicago skyline perfectly in the distance. It truly felt like God showing off a little. ✨

I’ve known this sweet family for years—we used to go to church together—and there’s something extra special about getting to photograph people you’ve known through different seasons of life. Watching families grow and change, and being trusted to preserve a tiny piece of this season for them, is something I’ll never take for granted.

Because these days really do go so quickly. The little hands get bigger. The kids grow up. Seasons change. But photographs have this beautiful way of letting us hold onto a piece of what God has given us, even after the moment has passed. 🥹

And maybe that’s why I’m having such a hard time saying goodbye to summer this year. Give me warm evenings, golden light, sandy toes, belly laughs, and sunsets like this forever. ☀️🌊

10 years. 🥹

These photos were taken TEN years ago.

And looking at them now, I can’t help but smile at the girl holding that camera. She had absolutely no idea what the next decade would hold.

My editing looked different.
My gear looked different.
My client experience looked different.
My business looked different.
And goodness… I looked different. 😂
But the heart behind it? That part feels so familiar.

I loved people. I loved love stories. I loved being invited into some of the most meaningful moments of someone’s life and getting to preserve them forever.

And somehow, ten years later, I still get to do exactly that. 🤍
This December, I’ll celebrate 16 YEARS of Alyssa Grace Photography, and sometimes that number doesn’t even feel real to me.

Sixteen years of saying yes.
Sixteen years of learning, growing, changing, failing, trying again, investing, dreaming, and becoming.
Sixteen years of weddings, babies, growing families, happy tears, first looks, nervous grooms, proud parents, packed dance floors, and thousands upon thousands of moments that I was trusted to preserve.

When I look at these old photos beside photos of me working today, I don’t just see the growth of a photographer.
I see the faithfulness of God.

There were seasons when I had no idea where this business was going. Seasons of abundance and seasons that stretched me. Times I questioned myself, compared myself, worried about bookings, wondered what was next, and prayed over this little business more times than I could ever count.

And yet, here I am.

Not because every year was easy. Not because I had some perfect plan figured out 16 years ago.

But because God has been so incredibly faithful through every single season. 🤍

I think sometimes we’re so focused on where we’re trying to go that we forget to turn around and look at how far God has already brought us.

That girl with the camera ten years ago couldn't see any of this yet.

She couldn't see the hundreds of couples and families she would photograph. She couldn't see the friendships that would come from this business. She couldn't see the photographer, business owner, wife, mom, and woman she would become.

But God could.

And maybe that's my favorite part of looking back.

"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." — Psalm 126:3

Here’s to almost 16 years of Alyssa Grace Photography. 🥹🤍 And to whatever God has waiting in the years still ahead.

Kelsey + Brandon 🤍 | The official LAST wedding of summer!

And somehow, a day that was calling for rain ALL. DAY. LONG. ended up giving us exactly what we needed. 🙌🏻 It rained that morning, cleared up for all of their portraits and celebrations, and then waited until we were all tucked inside at the reception for the evening before starting back up again. I’d say that’s a wedding day WIN. 😂

Kelsey started the day with the sweetest first look with her dad and two brothers… and then it was Brandon’s turn—or so he thought. 😂 His best man surprised him with a fake first look that had everyone absolutely dying before Kelsey came out for their real first look. And watching these two share their vows together afterward was seriously so sweet. 🤍

And can we talk about these gloomy skies for a second?! Normally the chapel is sitting in full, direct sunlight when we’re doing portraits, so we hardly ever get to use it like this. The second I saw those clouds I was like, YESSSS. We’re going to the chapel. 😂

And I’m SO glad we did because some of these are already favorites!

It was just one of those sweet, simple wedding days. Nothing needed to be overcomplicated—just two people so excited to marry each other, surrounded by the people they love most, with plenty of laughter along the way.

Wedding #2 from this past weekend 🤍 Abby + Ian!

Ohhh these two. 🥹🤍 Abby and Ian seriously hold such a special place in my heart, and their wedding day was every bit as beautiful as they are together.

And can we talk about Ian for a second?! He may genuinely be one of the sweetest, most grateful grooms I have EVER had. 🥹

His heart was just bursting with gratitude all day long. For Abby. For their families. For every person who came alongside them to make this day happen. He thanked us over and over again, and you could just tell that he wasn't taking a single moment of this day for granted. It was SO incredibly sweet to witness.

And the way he looked at Abby?! 😭 Just look at that first look!!
Their entire day was filled with so much love, joy, happy tears, laughter, and those little in-between moments that remind me exactly why I love what I do so much.
