“Some journeys are measured in miles. Others are measured in moments—when mountains disappear into rain, sunrise awakens ancient stone, and wildlife reminds us we are only visitors. These are the moments I chase, one shutter click at a time. My hope is that through these images, you’ll feel like you were there too.”

Day 5 off the grid started long before sunrise with a journey to Wheeler Geologic Area. After exploring this incredible wilderness, we spent the next 24 miles making our way back to pavement. The adventure didn’t end there—on the drive back to my friend’s home, towering thunderstorms rolled across the mountains, creating some of the most dramatic skies I’ve ever photographed. Days like this remind me that the best landscapes are often found far beyond the end of the road.

On Day 4 off the grid, our journey began with a level 5 of 10 off-road expedition on Alder Creek, and we eventually found ourselves on a level 4 route on Pool Table Road. The experience concluded at Wheeler Geological Area, a site of immense natural beauty.

Day 3 off the grid… finished Medano Pass, Visited Great Sand Dunes, and Zapata Falls.

“From windswept dunes to mountain waterfalls, every trail leads to another reminder that nature is the greatest artist of all. These landscapes weren’t created to impress us—they simply exist in quiet perfection. My privilege is capturing the moments that remind us to slow down, look up, and never stop exploring.
