Hey friends! It has been a hot minute since I have been on here but its been a bit of a crazy year. We have spent the last 2 years living in Spain and between travel and 3 surgeries between my husband and myself, a break was much needed. I needed to take some time to reevaluate things and to see where I wanted to go with my photography business. I knew I had a very specific vision for my photography business and it just wasn't the right time to make the changes I needed while living overseas. We are now down to about 3 1/2 weeks before making our way back to the states, Chesapeake, VA to be exact and I am very excited to get things up and going again. My new website is almost done and I already have new plans in the works. With new changes comes new branding and a new name! Welcome to Among the Wildflowers Photography!!!

I also want to take this time to introduce myself for anyone who doesn't know me, my name is Lindsay and I am the girl behind the magic here at Among the Wildflowers. I am a military wife and mom.

Here are a few fun facts about me:
-love of iced coffee
-obsessed with true crime documentaries
-terrified of spiders
-loves to travel. Germany, Scotland and Morocco are a few of my favorites
-I love beautiful light and chasing sunsets and storytelling photography is my jam!

I look forward to what's to come in the next few weeks as we journey back to the states and I hope we will be great friends!

Happy Monday!

It's been a hot minute since I have posted on social media. The summer has been busy and with my kids out of school and my husband away for work a lot, I have taken some much needed time to spend it with my family.

Now that summer is quickly coming to an end I am looking forward to getting back behind the camera and documenting life's most precious moments. This lifestyle newborn session I did recently was wonderful and I just adored this sweet little family!

I absolutely love working with teens. They bring so much personality and fun to their sessions. I feel that teens are an age group that doesn't get professional photos done enough and with cell photos handy, they tend to stick to selfies.

I am here to say that documenting your teen years is so important. This is a season of your life where you are exploring the world and figuring out who you are and what you want to be. Take the time to have your photos taken by a professional so that you have beautiful photos to look back on so that you can remember that special time!

Such a sweet family at the sunflower field last night. I had the chance to photograph this family back in the fall and I was so excited to get to work with them again.

The golden light was so dreamy and we has so much fun running around in the sunflowers 🌻💛

My kids and I were able to take a trip back home to visit family for a few weeks and to see my oldest son graduate. It was a much needed little break and we truly enjoyed our time back in Florida.

We stayed at my grandmas house which is where I grew up. She lives out in the country and during the spring and summer months her field fills up with these little white flowers. Of course I had my camera handy so I just had to get some photos of my youngest kiddos in the flowers 🌼
