We had the opportunity to film a brand story for Jordan Young Institute, capturing real physicians at work and a side of their story most people never get to see. That’s one of the things we’ve learned about this work: you don’t always know where the camera will take you.

From where we started to where we get to create today, we don’t take these opportunities or the trust behind them for granted.

For our sit-down interview with Dr. Gaston, President of Norfolk State University, we chose the Douglas Wilder Arts Center to give the frame natural depth. We used the existing wall lights as a guide for the rim lighting, making the interview feel connected to the space.
It’s a good example of how we approach production at Two Twelve Media: the location, lighting, and composition should all help tell the same story.

The best brand stories usually aren’t created in a conference room. They’re already happening inside the business.

It could be the way your team works together, a process you’ve spent years perfecting, the experience you create for customers, or the reason the business started in the first place.

Our job is to find those details and decide how to translate them through the camera.

Because good storytelling doesn’t make a business into something it isn’t. It helps people notice what was already worth seeing.

The work started long before the camera started rolling.

Behind the scenes from our Amazon production, our team prepared the setup, worked through the details, and made every minute on set count as we captured internal new hire videos for their team.

Production took place during the workday and within a limited window, which meant adapting to an active business environment while staying focused on the production. It’s part of how we work at Two Twelve Media: flexible to the needs of the business, intentional with the time we’re given.
