5 years ago, I photographed them becoming parents for the very first timeā€¦ and now I got to witness Peyton step into her newest role: big sister. šŸ¤

Thereā€™s something so special about watching families grow through the years, especially friends youā€™ve known since college. From documenting their earliest days with Peyton as a newborn, to now seeing her gently kiss, hold, and completely adore her baby brotherā€¦ it felt like such a full circle moment.

She was the sweetest little soul during this session, so patient, so loving, so proud. And the love surrounding this little boy was impossible to miss. The way his mom and dad looked at him, held him, smiled at himā€¦ you could feel just how deeply wanted and cherished he already is.

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do so much. Being invited into seasons like this, watching families grow and love expand, is something Iā€™ll never take for granted.

This summer, I really want to slow down and create differently.

Not just perfectly posed photosā€¦ but real moments. The kind youā€™ll look back on years from now and actually feel again.

I want to document the messy, beautiful, nostalgic parts of summer:
sprinklers at golden hour, fire pits with people you love, bike rides, pool days, ice cream runs, backyard evenings, late night laughter, wet hair, bare feet, summer air.

The little things that end up meaning everything.

These sessions are for the dreamers, the playful souls, the people who want photos that feel like memories instead of just photos.

Years after college, life reconnects old friends in the sweetest ways. What started as a thoughtful surprise gift became such a beautiful reminder of how quickly life changes and grows. The love, tenderness, and quiet intimacy between these three was felt in every moment.

Somewhere between the sound of the waves and the salt in the air, two people stood on the shoreline realizing their love was no longer just a story about the two of them anymore.

What once began with stolen glances, late night conversations, and dreams whispered between them has now grown into tiny kicks, gentle anticipation, and the kind of love that changes everything forever.

As the ocean moved endlessly behind them, they danced barefoot in the sand, holding onto each other while preparing to hold someone even more precious. There was something so beautiful about the way he looked at her, not just as the woman he fell in love with, but as the mother of his child. And the way she held her growing belly so instinctively, so protectively, like she already knew this little soul by heart.

This season of life is tender. Sacred. The quiet in between where two hearts prepare to become three.

Their laughter carried in the wind, her dress moved with the tide, and for a moment, time felt still, as if the ocean itself knew this was the beginning of a whole new chapter.

Motherhood is not one moment.
Itā€™s a thousand quiet transformations. šŸ’«

It begins long before a baby is ever placed in your arms.
Sometimes motherhood starts as a longing.
A prayer whispered into the dark.
A dream carried quietly for years.

Sometimes it looks like tiny kicks at 2AM, newborn cuddles, sleepless nights, packed lunches, sacrifice, laughter, and a love so deep it changes you forever.

Sometimes motherhood is raising babies.
Sometimes itā€™s learning to let them go.

Sometimes motherhood is loss.
Sometimes itā€™s waiting.
Sometimes itā€™s healing.

Sometimes motherhood looks like stepmoms, adoptive moms, grandmothers, aunties, dog moms, and women who mother everyone around them with endless love and care.

Motherhood is soft and strong all at once.
Beautiful, overwhelming, tender, exhausting, and sacred.

These sessions were never just about flowers or photos. They were about honoring every version of motherhood and the love that comes with it.
