Ok I don’t put it all out there on this page typically just because I try to keep this one more business and uplifting, but because I have had so many reach out and I am behind the 8 ball on a few sessions.

We laid Dad to rest yesterday, so if i have not answered, that is why. It was super bittersweet, but also beautiful.

First, please do not think that I take any of the messages as insensitive at this time, I know you all are not aware of every single thing that goes on in any business owners life at any given time, and it isn’t because we don’t want to share our lives, but I just don’t put it here.

I also know you all just want your gorgeous images and THEY ARE! So I am not offended. I don’t try to pretend. I try to be as transparent as possible when it’s necessary.

If you are waiting on any gallery from November, it’s coming today and tomorrow, as I won’t be going anywhere. Dad is one of the reasons i picked up a camera in the first place, so I’m sure he would be honored that this is where I’m spending my day.

Second, thank you to everyone for being so patient. I know it’s the holidays and I want to share your beautiful families as much as you do!

None of this goes unnoticed. I truly love each and every one of my clients and some of you are friends.

This is my 10th year in business and it is not ever how I thought it would be spent, but sometimes it’s not up to us.

Anyway, I need to get back to uploading and sending galleries but just wanted you all to know where I am and why I might be more silent 🤍

Finishing up some galleries.

I didn’t take on much in this season because this space is creative, it’s emotional, and it’s me giving all I have to give to YOU, my gorgeous clients, many of you friends.

I don’t put a lot of personal business out there, but just remember, behind the lens, we are people first.

Choosing family first is always a no brainer, but when you have to step back from something you love so much to keep your own peace, boy is it hard.

Hey friends! I know it’s been SO quiet the past 18 months or so. I’m still here. I just had to take a hard step back.

If you know me in real life, then you know our family has walked through a lot of health issues as well as loss this past couple of years. The hits keep coming so to speak.

But there is always good in the rough. Family will always come first, so I had to PIVOT so to speak (if you are a Friends ju**ie like me then ya know)

Anywho, last year right after my last Santa mini I zoomed down to Barnes to stay the next couple weeks while they removed a mass from my Dad.

Unfortunately, while we got to celebrate that win, it wouldn’t be long before the cancer came back.

He’s now on hospice and we are just trying to soak up every moment we can!

This year looks different yet again, but the one constant has been Santa.

My heart will always have a space for these.

Right now I still have plenty of openings, so let’s fill them up!!

She knocked her Senior session out of the park! And of course it was at the beautiful because my friend has truly outdone herself!

Hey friends!

Long time no see! It’s been a long December. Is that showing my age? Counting Crows anyone?

Anyway, that pretty much sums up my hiatus…sabbatical? Whatever you want to call it, a lot has gone on over here. I’m not big on posting when I have to feel big feelings, and once I stopped, so much inward reflection happened and family just took precedence.

Maybe someday I will share more, but for now, just know while I left the socials and took a huge step back, I never fully left.

My heart though needs this space, this craft of mine, this ‘little business’ that I started ten years ago this year!

I have continued to shoot through a lot of pain, but the other day I finally felt free again. I finally felt like my cup was full.
What changed? Not sure, could be a few things, but mostly it’s just my headspace. I’m ready. Ready to get back to where I truly belong.

I’ve missed you!

Oh hey. Yes. I still exist. Yes. I still have a studio in Chenoa (it’s cute btw and getting a facelift 🥰)

One of my best tog friends reached out to me and asked me if I was ok. The answer is, eh. Life has just been hard this past couple of years. What I didn’t realize, is that I hadn’t posted on Instagram since January first. Wow. This space is beautiful. My customers are wonderful. You all are gorgeous. Look at this beautiful Senior!

The thing is, this creative space is hard to show up in when life throws you lemon after lemon. And honestly, I got tired of showing up not super pumped to be here, because this business of mine means more to me than i can ever explain.

Next year will be 10 years since I booked my first paid session! I’m not going away, but I had to take a breath and figure out our priorities.

Sometimes God doesn’t necessarily close a door, but opens a couple windows to show you that you might need to change focus for a sec.

So if you haven’t seen me. Or if I have missed a message, or an email (messages were down for a sec and honestly, I didn’t rush to fix them), it’s because my family and my health will always come first. And sometimes you just can’t juggle it all. Business owners are still humans 😊

So, to all of you that have reached out even if just as a friend, thank you. I see you. I hear you, and I miss you!

The worst feeling in the world is feeling like you have let people down, but humility is necessary sometimes.

I can’t promise I will be here a lot going into the holidays cuz my books are busy both family and business, but i will try. I do promise.
