When you feel no one will make the effort
But only you can.
When you feel the pressure to get everything done
When you mentally want everything to be perfect
When you associate Christmas with happy memories
What it use to be
When you try to find that bright light the warm one to hold you tight
When you try to find your holiday cheer
It seems to fall on deaf ears
The love you have will try to grow but the heart break of the lack of a warm glow.
When all is felt like it’s lost
You look at the homes with with colored lights
When the heart beat if holiday cheer
But yet it fells like it’s no where near,
The sadness and loss of warm
Can break the hearts that are full of love
The heaviness of expectation
To put a smile and have no limitations
To put your family aside for bills
Instead of celebrating holiday cheer
The heaviness of emptiness
Echos in one’s ears and head
Wishing that there was someone near
To give this holiday cheer
To experience the warmth of a hug
One that is full of great love.
Ones that want you near
The ones who love you dear.
Hold your loved ones close tonight
Send love to friends who don’t have much
Send the warmth that care let them know that you are there.
