I just did a full length video that includes the history of a school house like this one! Check out the link in my bio.

The video I posted a couple weeks ago featured a one room school house at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, and it reminded me of this one near Florence, KS. I don’t know anything about its history, so put it in the comments if you do!

Last night, the sunset and a storm lined up perfectly while Kaity and I were driving home. The only “camera” I had with me was my phone. It did okay…. Just don’t zoom in and it looks fine. 😆

I went back out to Cedar Point last week for the first time in over a year! Last time was sunset; this time we’ve got fading daylight and blue hour. And a bonus mobile shot of the abandoned gas station.

I’m finally posting another Small Histories video tomorrow! I’ll be doing history and photography at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in this one. Several of my best photos have been taken at the Preserve, particularly at the Lower Fox Creek School. Here are a few images of the school I shot during a sunset last year. The conditions turned out perfectly on that shoot.
The video goes live tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m., so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it!

Unfortunately, due to lack of rain recently, the corn harvest had to come early this year. I liked the photos I got though!

I’m finally working on the next Small Histories video! For part of the video I went with some friends to the Lower Fox Creek school house to shoot the latest lunar eclipse. As the sky darkened, I of course had to get a Milky Way photo, too. 😁 Subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss the video, coming soon at this link: https://youtube.com/-histories?si=CJmz1-EbYAll_BtB

Last Saturday Kaity and I went to the Wichita Transportation Museum right after B&C Barbecue. I’m an aviation guy myself, but I do love me some trains every now and then! 😆 It was a great opportunity to take some photos just for the enjoyment of it.

Last week was the new moon, so I went down to Fall River Lake with a couple of friends to take advantage of the dark skies. Prints are available!
