This is a C-O-TWO Type 50 lb. Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguisher. They feature a specific raised horizontal bracket/latch ridge welded right onto the center-left of the red protective outer shield.

Step-by-Step Operation

Transport: Wheel the extinguisher close to the fire area, keeping it upright on its carriage.

Access: Open the red outer shroud cover and remove the insulated black discharge horn from its cradle.

Unwind: Pull the locking pin on the hose rack and completely uncoil the flexible high-pressure hose to avoid kinks.

Open Cylinder Valve: Turn the main brass handwheel on top of the hidden inner cylinder completely to the left (counter-clockwise) to pressurize the system.

Attack: Approach the base of the flames holding the insulated handle of the discharge horn tightly.

Discharge Control: Squeeze or open the local shut-off valve located right at the base of the discharge horn to release the carbon dioxide gas. Sweep the horn from side to side across the base of the fire until extinguished.

This is a Waterous " Trend " fire hydrant. Introduced in 1967 as a high performance dry barrel hydrant, it features a durable ductile iron construction, a 4-3/4 inch valve opening, and an all-bronze valve seat for simplified maintenance and repair.

One of the main identifiers of the Trend WB77 is its maintenance setup, where a technician can gain access to all internal working parts simply by removing four nuts and bolts located at the upper standpipe fl**ge

This is a Kennedy K-81D " Guardian " Model fire hydrant. This dru barrel hydrant was cast in 2008 which features a distinct multi-bolt upper section right above the nozzles and a smooth, domed upper bonnet.

The K81D is an improved design by Kennedy featuring

Single-Man Breakaway Repairs: The traffic fl**ge break-ring assembly was re-engineered so a single technician can replace the sheared top section using a universal repair kit following a vehicle accident. The older K-11 often required more extensive alignment work.

Corrosion Isolation: The internal oil/grease reservoir in the 2008 model is completely sealed from environmental exposure by an integrated upper dirt wrap shield, resolving moisture-leakage issues common to the 1970s design during spring thaws.

Dynamic Drain Seals: The modern Guardian features a specialized pressure-activated bronze drain seat. The greater the incoming water pressure when open, the tighter the drain port seals, optimizing flow efficiency and preventing baseline washouts.

This is a Kennedy K-11 Hydrant, cast in 1970 the K-11 is a dry barrel hydrant that features a distinct bell-shaped dome bonnet.

These units utilize a distinct two-piece standpipe configuration joined right below the side hose nozzles by a multi-bolt traffic fl**ge. This standard "breakaway" feature ensures that if a vehicle impacts the upper barrel, it shears cleanly off at the fl**ge without damaging the underlying main valve or causing an uncontrolled geyser.
