After becoming a mother, I realized how much I appreciated raw, real, photos of my motherhood journey.

To have the little details of their hand in yours, the baby curls, and the gummy smiles. The stages that change before you can open your eyes from a blink.

Some of my favorite memories were made this week in Colorado. Two national parks, 26 miles biked, over 45 hours of driving, and countless hikes. Making these memories with our babies is something I will never ever take for granted. Watching their sense of wonder and exploration grow is such a blessing. Thank you Jesus.

If I’m being completely honest, life has been very heavy lately.

There has been a lot happening behind the scenes.
A lot of things I haven’t had the words for.
A lot of carrying things quietly.
A lot of trying to be strong while also feeling very, very human.

Social media can make it easy to only share the polished scenes, the pretty pictures, the happy moments, the things that are easy to share.

One thing I am learning, is that two things can exist at once. I can be deeply grateful, and still grieving. I can be surrounded by so many beautiful things, and still carry immense pain. I can hold joy and sorrow in the same season.

Through it all, The Lord has carried me through in ways only He could. He has met me in all of the dark places. And His grace has been abundant over and over again.

I’m not in a place to share every detail, but I want to be honest and say that I am human. Making space for grief, and being deeply grateful for all of the beauty around me daily.
