This past weekend, I traveled to the wonderful city of Budapest, Hungary. It was a positively amazing city, full of wonderful food, friendly people, and more sights than I would have ever thought! While there, I was able to see the many influences of European culture in their architecture, as well as see influences I'd seen elsewhere. If you go, ensure you try their wine. Positively some of the best wine I've ever had!

This photo is but one of many I took while I was there. This is the Parliament building, nested comfortably on the Danube, lit at nighttime. Enjoy!

This weekend, we traveled to Kobarid, Slovenia, and got to see some of the most beautiful scenery possible! We hiked to see a majestic waterfall, but before we even got to that point, we managed to see this beautiful sight awaiting us. This was the view that welcomed us from the parking lot of our lounge. If this most built up place in the area offers a view such as this, you know you're in for a treat. Enjoy!

Most of us can identify with flying from place to place, and the fantastic views we are subjected to when soaring above the earth. However, it always seems that when we try to capture those photos, we end up getting a photo that has a strange colorcast to it, due to the windows of the plane or other atmospheric disturbances.

With this post, I'm going to show you the importance of post-processing on photos, to display the cast that even a nicer camera experiences, and to show you that it is correctable. The first, darker photo is straight out of the camera. The second is the same photo with some simple corrections. For simplicity, I'll leave it at this and leave the technobabble out of it. =) Enjoy!

I decided to take the scenic, less traveled route home today. I stopped off at Raccoon Mountain park, and was greeted with some beautiful, peaceful scenery. The beautiful landscapes that surround Chattanooga, such as this, truly make it a wonderful area to visit. Enjoy!

Spring has finally arrived! After a few days of warmth, the flowers have went into overdrive with their pollen creation. With this pollen comes bees! I got into the garden today to view these little awesome creatures at work, and managed to get a few photos of them. Remember, as long as you don't hurt them, they won't hurt you! Enjoy!

I went to the Cherry Blossoms Festival a little over a week ago in Washington, DC. I mainly went for the fireworks, I won't lie. It was a great time, as the fireworks show was simply amazing! If I'm ever in DC for another fireworks show, I'll be sure to attend. Here is one photo from the night. Enjoy!

This morning, I ventured out to Emerald Isle, NC, to capture the sunrise on the beach. My most beautiful photos turned out just prior to the sunrise, caused by the beautiful colors in the sky. We woke up at 0445 to get there in time for it, but it was certainly worth the drive and the cold. Enjoy!

As I was driving to North Carolina last week, I noticed that I could see the stars quite well in the darkness of the country. I ventured back there last night to attempt some star photography, and I managed to get some good photographs. There will be more in the future, as this is merely the beginning! Enjoy!

I've been traveling quite a bit as of lately, with not much time to spare. However, I felt compelled to share this sight that I'm beholding right now. As I was awaiting my flight, I decided to get a cappuccino and walk toward my gate. What I see on the way is breathtaking, and that sight is this. The lone tarmac of the Brussels Airport at dawn, through a beautiful mist. Enjoy! While you're doing that, I'll be sipping cappuccino and enjoying the sight as well, and awaiting my chariot.

I submitted one of my photos to Popular Photography's Annual Reader's Contest a while ago, and completely forgot about it. I submitted it some time ago, after all. Well, after seeing the link come up, I remembered, clicked the link, and started looking through the photos. I was featured as one of the finalists! This has been, by far, one of my most popular photos and it continues to be to this day! Thank you all for the support, and have a fantastic day!

By Darryl Neeley Downtown Athens, Greece, is an amazing place to be at night. There are so many unique characters that roam the streets, particularly street performers. This kind man wanders and dazzles using the power of flame! Of course, when I saw him I couldn't help but take advantage of the sit…

I know I kind of run the gamut when it comes to subjects to photograph, and you have to bear with me. We've went from Greek landscapes to Slovene statues, and now we're onto another subject: animals.

I was walking in from my vehicle today and saw the new baby chicks in my yard hovering around their momma. It was so cute that I couldn't resist grabbing my camera and snapping off a few photos. And before you ask, yes I tried to pet them...and no, they didn't let me. =(
