This beautiful day at Lee University Chapel was filled with so much tenderness, gratitude, and quiet joy. The kind of moments that remind me why I do what I do!

The trembling hands before walking down the aisle, the tears held back during vows, the smiles exchanged when words aren’t enough.

As a photographer, this day was especially meaningful because it was my very first time photographing a wedding at Lee University Chapel. Walking into a venue I’ve admired and getting the opportunity to document such a beautiful love story there felt like a gift.

One of my favorite parts of this season has been stepping into new spaces and seeing fresh stories unfold. From new venues to new adventures, I am feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunities ahead and all the couples who trust me to preserve these moments.

To love and to be loved is an extraordinary thing we downgrade to ordinary often.

But on a wedding day, somehow the world slows down long enough for everyone to remember. The trembling hands, the deep breaths before walking down the aisle, the way two families become intertwined forever it all feels sacred again.

And I think that’s why I love photographing weddings so deeply. Because for one beautiful day, love is no longer overlooked. It is witnessed, honored, and felt in every little moment.

What an incredible privilege it is to preserve the beginning of a legacy that will be remembered for generations.

Mom & dad loading….these two will be welcoming their sweet little love in just a few weeks!!

What a beautiful time it is to carry, nourish and literally GROW a human inside of your body….I reflect on being pregnant with Beckham often. How sweet his little kicks and movements felt. Like little butterflies in my body.

I also remember the anxiety of always hoping everything was perfect. Is he healthy? Am I taking care of myself enough for him? What if I’m a bad mom? My favorite worry of all….what if he doesn’t like me? 🤣 Yes, that phrase indeed came out of my mouth.

It’s truly beautiful to think about how quickly our hearts and mind fall in love with someone only our body knows.

Slow living isn’t for everyone and neither is living in the boonies. I will say I have grown accustomed to it. The sweet tea sippin, porch swing rockin, birds chirping kind of life.

I do believe summer love feels softer out here…slow winds, warm light, and the kind of memories that age beautifully.

Living in the middle of what feels like nowhere has taught me how enjoyable life and love is when it is unhurried, un bothered and un interrupted.

The joy in the sun rays beaming through my small kitchen window…the neighbors ducks paying us visits everyday, a fresh cup of coffee made from scratch.

These are small things that go unnoticed when life is in a rush. I encourage you to slow down and note three small extraordinary moments you found yourself holding still for everyday this week.

Let’s start romanticizing our lives and stop comparing them or degrading them by wishing we had more.

This is what I mean when I say your photographer isn’t just someone who shows up with a camera. It’s someone who grows with you, sees you, and holds your story with care from beginning to end.

These two were one of the very first couples who stepped in front of my camera when I was just starting out. Before I had it all figured out. Before the confidence. Before the growth. They believed in me anyway.

I will never take that kind of trust lightly.

I used to photograph these moments with intention.
Now I photograph them with understanding.

A year doesn’t feel long until you’ve watched your own child grow through it
The tiny hands, the dependence, the way they reach for you without thinking…it all changes so quickly.

These sessions mean something different to me now.
A little heavier.
A little more sacred.

I am so thankful to have gained such a beautiful insight to my business through motherhood.

The open landscape.
The soft, even light.
