Goblin Valley State Park; Utah

On a 6 week trip to the West and spent a few nights at Goblin Valley State Park in Southern Utah which so happens to be a certified Dark Sky Park. So one can?t pass up trying to shoot the Milky Way. It just so happened to be the peak of the Lyrids and I was lucky enough to capture one in this shot.

Just outside of Townsend, Tennessee on Laurel Creek Road going towards Cades Cove.

This is a little cascade just off of Laurel Creek Road outside of Townsend, Tennessee, not far from the Townsend Wye, heading towards Cades Cove. There is a small parking lot where you can park, and it is just a short walk to get to this beauty.

Yellowstone National Park

I captured this image in Yellowstone National Park, along the stretch between Blacktail Pond and Tower Junction, during a trip in March 2026 with my sister.

This season of life is one of transition. As a widow and mother of three sons?one preparing to leave for college and two close behind?I find myself standing at the intersection of pride and quiet melancholy. For nearly two decades, my purpose has been joyfully rooted in full-time motherhood. Now, as my boys begin to spread their wings, I?m learning to rediscover my own?seeking new ways to remain vibrant, fulfilled, and fully engaged in the beauty life still has to offer.

This journey marked a turning point. It was more than a trip; it was a deliberate step toward renewal?and, I hope, the first of many.

We came to Yellowstone in pursuit of wolves, a long-held dream of mine. And that dream was realized?I was fortunate enough to witness them in the wild. But in an unexpected and unforgettable twist, the American bison emerged as the true stars of the experience.

They were everywhere?commanding, unhurried, and almost theatrical in their presence. Time and again, they seemed to pause just long enough, as if aware of the moment, offering striking compositions and unforgettable encounters. Their quiet strength and enduring presence left a lasting impression on me.

In the end, I gained more than I anticipated: not only the fulfillment of seeing wolves in their natural habitat, but also a deeper appreciation for the resilient and iconic American bison?an enduring symbol of the wild spirit that continues to inspire my journey.

Known as the "Korean War Hero", this nostalgic warbird takes us back to the days of yesteryear. The Vought F-4U Corsair served in both World War II (Pacific Theater) and the Korean War. It earned the nicknames "Whistling Death" and the "Bent-Wing Widow Maker".
To accommodate the massive 13-foot propeller, engineers had to bend the wings down, giving this mighty aircraft its inverted "Gull Wing" design. This was the only way the landing gear could give clearance for a propeller of this size.
This plane is owned and flown by Jim Tobul,

Sitting in my home office and saw this guy just hanging out. He was pretty patient with me while I set up the gear and took several shots.

This Aircraft is from the 159th Fighter Wing from the Louisiana National Guard based at Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans. This image captures only one of the four aircraft performing on 3 April 2026 at the Wings Over North Georgia, held in Rome, Georgia. This team is one of the last operational fighter wings operating the F-15C Eagle, making its appearance prized by aviation enthusiasts. Eventually, the 159th Fighter Wing will be transitioning to the F-15EX.

Mark of Day's Passing

This mountain precipice is part of Lookout Mountain Flight Park, looking across the valley of Dade County, Georgia to the peaks beyond. Sunsets are often spectacular this time of year, with little to no haze in the air to muddy the view. I took water in jugs with me to the location to create two reflecting pools in small hollows worn out of exposed bedrock. The reflections in these pools are an integral part of the visual interest of the piece, along with the glorious sunset.
