Kori Price Photography Photography is more than pretty pictures and perfect shots. It's a reflection of life and how we live, our world and the lens we see it through. Contact me.

Stories are important to me. I've decided to write mine by continuously challenging myself to seek new adventures and to view what's familiar or cliché in a new light. I wear many hats: photographer, writer, electrical engineer, and marketer, living at my own unique intersection of artistry, creativity, and logic. I believe in doing what makes me happy and uplifting others so that they may have th

e chance to do the same. I want to capture your moments of incomprehensible joy and love on your wedding day, your family in its state of chaotic bliss, or your strength and resilience after overcoming an obstacle that seemed impossible to you. I want to instantly transport you to a place you've never seen or one you've seen a thousand times. I want to help you understand more about yourself and the people around you. I want to tell your story. Let's work together.

Y'all it's been a minute. Just take my radio silence as the level of hustle I've been up to. Photo business and candle business are in full swing!

I recently sat down with Marki and Price on Envision Radio and chatted about how and why I got into art and photography. We talk everything from art as resistance, capitalism, what prompted me to go full time with my photo business, my almost career as a storm chaser, and more!

Check out the podcast and let me know what you think!

It's the last day to go see 807 .

So many people have felt at home with this exhibition. It's like they've stepped into their grandparents', aunts & uncles', cousins, or a good friend home one more time. Memories that have dulled with time have raced back in vivid, high-definition color. Ancestors have come to visit and sit with them once again. Folks had an opportunity to release, reflect, and remember.

I create my best work when I listen to my very persistent inner voice. Sometimes it's a nudge, sometimes it's a shove. Sometimes it's a stop mid-walk to run back upstairs and grab a camera or two and a re-shuffle of meetings so I can make a quick trip to Clifton Forge before the sun sets. This inner voice is what ultimately led to 807.

I didn't create these photos with an art show in mind, I created them because I had to even though I didn't know why. The process of putting this show together and hearing/seeing how they made people feel helped informed me of why I created them. The purpose of this work was deepened by you. By your connection to the exhibition and by the people you remembered.

I have so much gratitude for each and everyone of you.

Thank you to Andrea Douglas for creating and maintaining a gallery space in Charlottesville for Black artists to show their work and be seen. Thank you to the JSAAHC Staff for hosting a wonderful opening, inviting me to lead an art tour for young people, creating a really impactful video, and for all the work the do behind the scenes.

Thank you to everyone who came to see the show, shared their reflections either at the opening or just with me, and to those who went back to see it a second time.

And most importantly, thank you to my Mom. This was for you. Grief doesn't end. Letting go of things and spaces the people we love the most lived in and used is hard. I hope you felt like you were back at home on 807 Mound St. just one more time.

These are last few days of 807 . It closes this Wednesday, April 23rd. The last 3 months have flown by. I'm not sure how we've already arrived at the end of April! I hope you'll be able to see it before it closes. And if not, I'll share more photographs here and on my website before it ends.

Great to catch early in the morning last Friday!

Reposted from

In the beginning, the Prolyfyck founders invited their friends to run with them. James Dowell said only 10 people would show up each time.

Now, dozens of runners and walkers of various ages and backgrounds show up around 6 a.m. at the Jefferson School of African American Heritage parking lot every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to run or walk four miles. The group runs through predominantly Black neighborhoods in Charlottesville, such as 10th & Page and Fifeville, said Dowell.

My next solo art exhibition, 807, opens on Saturday, January 18th at the JSAAHC's gallery. 6PM.

I'm still sorting out the right words to describe this exhibition that is deeply personal to me, but for now I'm describing 807 as my best attempt to capture how prescense lingers in absence. The photographs in this show comprise a multi-faceted memory shared across people, time, and physical space.

I hope you'll be able to join me. ✨️

A trio of product photos for

It's been a busy year and keeping the 'gram up to date with all my work is tough. So here's a little (Mean Girls, anyone?). I did a branding shoot earlier this year for my friends at Ethos Wine & Tea and loved it! Styling my own product photos for my brand new candle business was so so fun and dabbling into food photography with 's Cast Iron Cooking for Dummies book was such a blast that I've decided to start offering product and branding photography!

If you're in need of product photos, branding photos, or some updated refreshed content of your own for Le Gram, hit your girl up!

P.S. I also love photographing events, weddings, artist studio portraits, seniors, and families. :)

P.S.S I also would love to partner with you on creative portraits. Making a record album photo is on my bucket list :)

on the shores of coastal Maine
where the sunrise is mirrored in wet, solid-packed sand
waves build then crash, build then crash
a constant whorl, a pattern of tide
The ocean is a constant. The sun is a constant.
There will always be sea. There will always be sky.

This is where I am mentally. It's where I find myself returning when I feel anxious.

I hope you find moments of peace and calm during this Election Day evening and perhaps the days to continue. If it's helpful, I invite you to visualize yourself here with me or wherever you feel a sense of calm.
