It’s always so bittersweet once the wedding day is finally here! Most of me is buzzing with excitement for my couples and can’t wait to capture their celebration.. but I’ll admit there’s a tinyyyy part of me that gets a little sad too because I genuinely love my couples and don’t want to say goodbye 😭 This was one of those days.

Last weekend’s wedding at Pippin Hill was a dream!

This couple planned a day full of meaningful moments with their loved ones and incorporated so many sentimental heirloom items, such as:
- the bride’s father driving her to the wedding in the car they restored together when the bride was a kid
- the couple’s guests finding their tables via hand-written notes from the couple (many of which included photos!)
- the groom wearing his grandfather’s pocket watch in remembrance
- the bride repurposing her mother’s veil into gorgeous hair pieces that she then wore and gifted to her mom and sister
I could go on and on. It was the perfect touch to make their day a truly unforgettable experience!

Before the ceremony, there’s a quiet window of time that often goes unnoticed.

While so much of the day naturally centers around the bride, I intentionally build space into every timeline for the groom as well.

Not rushed.
Not squeezed in.
Not an afterthought.

Groom portraits are where composure, anticipation, and character come through in a way that feels timeless.

17 Valentine’s Days together and counting! 🫶🏾

I’m so lucky to have this guy as my forever. Every day I’m amazed with how effortlessly and intentionally he loves me. He steadies me and keeps me focused on what is important and what is just noise. I often get sad thinking about the future (anxiety, anyone?) and worrying our kids won’t be able to find a love like ours, but even in those moments he’s able to ground me and walk me through my full range of emotions (and trust me, it’s a lot). Grant, you are my every reason. I hope you never realize you are way too good for me! 🥹
