My favorite Hindi wedding day itinerary? No 4a wakeup call, rushed outfit changes, endless family formal combos, or long midday gap. I love modern timelines like the one Hudson Valley Destination Wedding Planner created, allowing for a schedule that kept the day relaxed and stress-free. This looked like:
1) Relaxed morning getting ready, with media team coverage beginning around 11a
2) First look for the couple and portraits together
3) Wedding party & family formals all done pre-ceremony
4) Baraat followed by a short break
5l One hour ceremony
5) Cocktail hour - slightly extended to 1.5 hrs allowing ample time for their one styling change
6) Reception events and table photos (instead of mandap portraits) into dancing the night away. Coverage ended around 10p.
Desi vendors, couples and guests alike - do you prefer the traditional early start + gap, or the modern fusion itinerary? π
