AerowingVA has a new mark!
Back in 2022, a friend made this business its first logo: a little quadcopter, rotors and all. I’ve always loved it, and it carried AerowingVA through four years of flights over Charlottesville, Richmond, and the Blue Ridge.
But four years of flying this place teaches you things, about it and about yourself. Virginia doesn’t show off at eye level. It saves its best for altitude: ridgelines stacking blue on blue into the haze, the James threading silver through Richmond, farm roads and fence lines drawing patterns you’d never know were there. Chasing those views changed how I see my own work. I’m not a drone guy who takes pictures. I’m a photographer who happens to fly. The drone was never the point. It’s a tripod with wings.
So the new mark reflects that. It keeps everything my friend got right and lets go of the hardware. Each rotor became a wing. The X you know is still there, hiding in the space between them. And at the center, right where the original kept it, a five-blade aperture.
The colors are a picture of my favorite working conditions: two wings catching the light, two in shadow. Golden hour over the Blue Ridge.
Same pilot. Same sky. Sharper wings.
Now booking fall golden hour flights across Charlottesville, Richmond, and the Blue Ridge. Link in bio.
