We're grateful for all the attention that our traveling exhibition is getting. It's now at Trinity Episcopal Church on Preston Avenue. The house in the photo once stood in the Kellytown neighborhood. That is, a literal stone's throw from Trinity's present location.
The next stop for the traveling exhibition? Charlottesville High School! Stay tuned for more information.

Visions of Progress is back! Historically African American Trinity Episcopal Church will host the traveling edition of our acclaimed exposition from January 11th to March 11th 2026. The opening reception is on Sunday, January 11th, after the 10:30 service. All are invited to attend!

We're thrilled to see this post by Stacey Evans, the digital genius — and wonderful photographer — who scanned the glass-plate negatives from the Holsinger Studio.
