Bestival was such a beautiful reminder of why I love photographing families in this community. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my pop-up portrait experience, said hello, celebrated with me, or stepped in front of my camera. It was incredibly special to celebrate being named Best of C-VILLE Family Photographer for 2024 and 2026 alongside so many wonderful Charlottesville businesses and community members.

I’ve been keeping a pretty big secret… and I can finally share it.

Graceful Perceptions has been voted Best Family Photographer in Charlottesville for the second time. 🤍

2024 was something I never imagined happening. To receive this honor again in 2026 feels even more meaningful.

When I started Graceful Perceptions, I simply wanted to create photographs that felt like the people in them—the connection, the personalities, and the little in-between moments that become more important as the years pass.

To every family who has trusted me with your babies, your growing kids, your milestones, and your memories: thank you.

Thank you for inviting me into your lives. Thank you for recommending me to your friends. Thank you for coming back as your families grow. And thank you to everyone who took the time to vote.

Being able to do this work in the community I call home is something I will never take for granted.

The sweetest kind of togetherness. 🤍

Three generations, one brand-new little love, and a whole lot of personality in one frame. These are the photographs I love most—the ones where everyone isn’t looking perfectly at the camera, because they’re too busy loving on each other.

Years from now, it won’t just be about remembering how tiny the baby was. It’ll be about remembering this season—the grandparents beside you, big brother leaning in, and the way your family looked and felt together.

These moments deserve to be remembered. ✨

📚✏️ Back-to-school, but make it picture day. 🍎

There’s something so sweet about this time of year—the fresh outfits, new beginnings, and seeing just how much they’ve grown since last fall. 🥹

We had the prettiest evening at Boar’s Head capturing this little lady before another school year begins, and that smile says it all. ❤️

These are the little seasons that go by way too quickly. One day it’s a brand-new backpack and first-day nerves…and somehow, before you know it, they’re another year older.

Here’s to a wonderful school year filled with new friends, big adventures, and lots of reasons to smile. ✨

Parents!! You do not need perfectly behaved kids:

That is often where the best images happen.

Family sessions are allowed to feel playful.

What I look for:
- The in-between hugs
- Wind in their hair
-Fun cartwheels and tricks
- The way they reach for you
