Today is more than cookouts, long weekends, and city lights — it’s about remembering the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country and the freedoms we enjoy every day. Grateful for their sacrifice, and for the families who carry that legacy forward.

Some dramatic clouds swooping through the Queen City during last night’s sunset drone flight. This is one of my favorite angles of Charlotte, especially now that drone pilots are facing new restrictions based on an updated LAANC grid. This grid change is due to recent incursions with medivacs and drones flying high above the cities skyline unapproved and uncoordinated with ATC. This is a good reminder to fly legally and safely, no “cool shot” is worth the risk of hitting a manned aircraft as seen recently in Texas and California.
