So as a bunch of you locals know, tomorrow there was supposed to be a huge drag brunch in order to raise money for Carolina Migrant Network (a wonderful organization who work their butts off), but due to literal death threats from local protestors (the mean girls in middle school who just never grew up and can only feel big by making others feel small), the event has been cancelled. I’m going to say it a little louder for the people in the back.
Immigrants matter.
The LGBTQ community matters.
My business is built on love and inclusivity, so as well as a one time donation because I am sad about tomorrow, $20 from every session for the remainder of 2026 will go directly to Carolina Migrant Network.

We lost a treasure today.
Dolly wasn’t just a musician, she was a role model and made such a positive impact on the world. I have so many core memories involving her and her work. Playing bluegrass music with my dad as a teenager. Singing coat of many colors approximately 5948382 times on the porch while my kids had collick, the countless hours we spent with the kids, reading the free books that her non profit sent out every month. The early access to Covid vaccines for my immunocompromised family members directly because of the millions of dollars that she donated (and her weekly live streams during COVID where she would read books and sing songs and just be a little sparkle in a dark time).
She was the perfect example that you don’t listen to people when they want you to be a smaller, more manageable version of yourself.
Thank you Dolly for being a light in the world, may we live like you did and make the world a better place

Nothing has brought me more silly-joy in my thirties than being able to spend my grown-up money on things that I wanted as a teenager... They say that you should never meet your heroes... however I highly recommend taking your kid to meet theirs! It has been over a week and I'm pretty sure that they have told EVERY single person they have seen that they met the real life Handyman Hal! (He was super sweet and even helped Addie repair her safety vest)
