Yesterday’s Cup practice at Charlotte was a tough one to shoot. The garage area was incredibly quiet, and you could feel the weight of losing Kyle Busch everywhere you went.
I have shot a lot of races, but never a day like this. I just tried to capture the real emotion and the tributes from the teams. Seeing everyone at RCR working in silence and the 8 up on the board really put things into perspective. It is a massive loss for the sport.

The racing world lost an absolute legend today and I am still trying to process this. I am completely stunned. Kyle Busch has just always been a constant in my life when it comes to racing. It has been a wild ride going from watching him on TV and sitting in the grandstands to eventually being involved in the sport as much as I have been. Plenty of times we’ve passed on pit road and gave each other that simple, quiet head nod. He was an absolute beast behind the wheel. He poured his heart into the sport and gave us some of the most unbelievable moments in racing history. Whether you loved or hated him, he left the sport in a much better place. I’m proud to have captured these moments. The track is going to feel incredibly empty without him out there.

Spent Sunday trackside at Martinsville Speedway for the Cook Out 400 which is always a great. It was fun to capture Chase Elliott grabbing the win on Sunday after Denny Hamlin controlled so much of the race.

Today I had the rare opportunity to step inside a piece of Ilion’s and America’s industrial history: the now-vacated Re*****on Arms facility. Walking through those silent halls was surreal, knowing that for over two centuries this site was a hub of American manufacturing. Re*****on began producing fi****ms in Ilion in 1816, making it one of the oldest continuously operating gun manufacturers in the United States until Re*****on closed and moved in 2024, marking the end of an era.

For me, this was more than a historical tour. This was personal. My grandfather dedicated 38 years of his life to these buildings, working alongside generations of craftsmen and women who helped make “Ilion” and “Re*****on” synonymous.

I was able to document some of the history still standing. The peeling paint, worn floors, and quiet spaces that once buzzed with the sound of machinery. I can only hope I’ll be invited back someday to explore more of what remains before time and redevelopment erase these stories completely.

History isn’t just in books, it’s in the walls, the floors, and the hands of those who built it.

Shooting from the stands as a fan today! Been watching Syracuse Men’s Lacrosse since I was a kid and never have I seen them lose in person. Today that streak continued. Got to see the boys win the championship today in Charlotte!
