I wasn’t there to officially photograph the parade — I just had my camera in hand while everyone passed by and couldn’t resist grabbing a bunch of shots along the way.

These are completely unedited, straight-out-of-camera photos that I’m sharing simply because the costumes, expressions, and personalities were too good not to.

Sharks. Rainbows. Sunglasses. Tiny outfits. Very serious parade faces. Absolutely no shortage of personality. 😂

Pets Are Really Cool is headed to Sausage Fest at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Ballantyne!

Come out for the Charlotte We**ie Walk, dachshund races, a we**ie parade, live music, giveaways, and plenty of dogs doing what dogs do best.

📸 I’ll be set up at the Ballantyne location offering $20 event pet portraits, including one professionally edited digital image. And despite the abundance of we**ies, ALL pets are welcome at my camera!

Hi, friends—it’s been a while. 💙

I’ve been pretty quiet on social media these past few months. Life has been heavier and busier than usual, and I haven’t had much left in the tank for posting. But I’m still here, still photographing some really cool pets, and still incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to support my little business.

These photos are from a Rainbow Bridge session with sweet Petey, who has since crossed the Rainbow Bridge. His was one of several meaningful sessions I never got the chance to share while I was away from social media, and I’m honored that I was able to help preserve these memories for his family. 🌈🐾

I’m also beginning to plan another Rainbow Night. I need to find a new venue before I can put the rest of the pieces together, but I’m hopeful I can make it happen. If you know of a pet-friendly Charlotte-area space that might be a good fit, I’d love to hear about it.

Last night, , these candles were lit for the pets honored at Rainbow Night. 💛

Each one carried a name, a story, and a love that clearly has not gone anywhere. Thank you to everyone who came, shared memories, watched the slideshow, held space, and helped make the night feel so special.

This was inspired by my Pete, but it became something much bigger because of every pet who was part of it.

More photos and the slideshow will be coming soon.

I’ll also be holding future Rainbow Night / Rainbow Bridge tribute events. If you’d like to be notified directly when the next one is official, just reach out and I’ll add you to that list. It’ll only be for these events, not a general email list.

Each name represents a life, a story, a best friend, and a love that still very much stays. I’m really honored to make these for the people who are trusting this night with their pet’s memory.

Rainbow Night is tonight from 5–8 PM at . It’s free to attend, and you’re welcome to come celebrate a senior pet, honor a pet who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, or simply be there with people who understand.

Inspired by Pete, and created for every pet whose love still stays with us, this free tribute night is a gentle evening to celebrate senior pets and honor the ones who’ve crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Join me at on Sunday, May 17 from 5–8 PM. Everyone who attends will receive a candle, and if you preregister, I’ll engrave your pet’s name on it. You can also submit a favorite photo when you register to be included in the tribute slideshow.

Emily Strongin with Peaceful Tails will be there as a pet end-of-life doula resource, and I’ll be taking photos throughout the evening.

Cova had one very important job after Paws in the Park: choose the mini session winner.

Names were read, suspense was built, and Cova took his role exactly as seriously as you’d expect… which is to say, adorably and with his own process.
