The Towery family are troopers, let me tell ya...
Who knew we would get an arctic blast with lows of 30° and wind gusts over 25mph. Two days before, it was 70°. But they handled it like pros. The kids were wrapped in blankets between shots, I told them the the cold breeze was just warm tropical air, then captured their faces when they said “NO WAY! IT’S FREEZING!” with their rosy cheeks.
I think we captured some magical stuff that day. Perfectly posed with no flyaways? No. But I think these speak for themselves. Memories every mom and dad will cherish. Especially when they are grown. Trust me.
My approach to family sessions has grown and evolved over the years. Posed portraits is what people wanted 15+ yrs ago. I loved delivering them, but something always felt off JUST delivering them. What about the realness of your family? What happens when the camera is not there and you are just being your silly self, your snuggling self, or whatever makes you, you?
My goal for family sessions is more than ever a perfect mix of natural poses and candid moments.
So please...bring the wildness, the energy, the authenticity, the running around laughing and giving bear hugs. I am here for all of it 🤍
