A few sneak peeks from Hanna & Alex’s frosty elopement yesterday! These two are true adventure seekers, and the level of excitement that their families brought throughout the freezing cold hike was unmatched. What an honor it was to share this once in a lifetime experience with them!! 🤍

While we were off hiking after their ceremony, Joni & Derek’s loved ones were back at the Airbnb setting up a large dining table for everyone to enjoy a celebratory meal together.

I specifically remember hearing stories from the girls about walking through Walmart in their dresses for supplies that went missing, and watching them set the scene as we waited for Joni & Derek to arrive. These acts of service and the thoughtfulness that they all put into creating this dinner was so special. During dinner, they shared stories & memories as I quietly documented the laughter around the table.

Their wedding day was one that really solidified the brand & passion I have today to create wedding days with a perfect balance of quality time together and the people that you couldn’t imagine getting married without 🫂

Whenever someone asks if summer is a good time of year to elope in NC, these are the photos I show them 😍

Madison & Brent had a beautiful elopement weekend in August at a quaint little Inn tucked away in the mountains. We started the day with their first look at the Inn, and then headed to Grandfather Mountain for a small ceremony with their loved ones. After their ceremony, we headed on our own adventure hike on the parkway, and then ended their day with a luxury dining experience back at the Inn.

The longer days in the summer give you so much time to work with for your elopement, and I loved that it gave us time to step outside during dinner for those stunning sunset portraits 😍

I have availability for just 2 more couples this June-August, reach out at the link in my bio to get started!

Kristina & Drew’s spring elopement was simple yet beautifully sentimental 🕊️

Joined by a few close family members, they got married in Kristina’s grandparent’s backyard, surrounded by flowers that her Grandmother had planted just for them. Her Grandfather officiated the ceremony, a very important part of their day that Kristina had always dreamed of. After their ceremony, we took a drive through charming little towns of ivy-covered trees and quaint houses, stopped at a trail to take portraits, and then headed to the Pine Crest Inn for a candlelit dinner to end the night.

If you’re dreaming of your own spring elopement, I have one spot left for a last-minute April date 🌸 Reach out at the link in my bio to begin planning!

We planned this beautiful summer elopement day for Sarah & Anthony in just 2 months ✨

Their elopement was one of the prettiest summer days I’ve experienced. We kept it simple, but made their day so special by including a mountaintop ceremony with their families & a private sunset hike just for them.

We started the planning process just 2 months away from their date, starting with finding the perfect locations. S&A told me that they wanted a “screaming from the mountaintops” type of view, and towering trees… and I knew I had the perfect spot for them. After sending over a few location ideas, they decided to include 2 nearby locations - one for their ceremony with family, and one just for them.

Once the locations were chosen, all that was left to do is book a place to stay, make an appointment to get their marriage license, and book a few important vendors. A few weeks before their elopement, we created their timeline together, and that just about takes us to these photos you see here!

And the best part? They didn’t have to make any compromises with a shorter planning window. If you’re thinking about eloping this summer, now is the perfect time to start planning. If Sarah & Anthony could do it in just 2 months, there’s no doubt in my mind that we can do it for you in 6 😉 I have just a few spots left for this June-August, click the link in my bio to reach out!

“Erin preserved images of our day that will bless our family’s walls, tables, and mantles for years to come”
- S&J

This is everything I hoped for as I documented S&J with their sweet families. These black and white images from their dinner always remind me of the value of having your entire elopement day documented. Dinners often go undocumented when time is limited, and I’m so glad that they prioritized photography for all parts of their day so that their elopement story was complete with these moments from the end of the night 🤍

When you decide to elope and include just your closest loved ones, you’re making the intentional decision to include people that matter deeply to you.

This is why it’s so important to me to make sure that your love for them, and their love for you, is reflected in your photos.

This starts with creating a relaxed & comfortable atmosphere where your guests don’t feel the need to hold back emotion. Getting married in a peaceful atmosphere like the mountains sets the scene for you and your guests to be completely present & in the moment.

Sasha spent the morning with her parents, where her Mom helped her get ready. We planned a short hike for their ceremony that was easy enough for their families to do with a beautiful view for everyone to enjoy. They included a ring warming during their ceremony, followed by first dances. And then we ended their day with a celebratory meal at a restaurant nearby, where they enjoyed the last moments of their day gathered around table with their loved ones.

These moments with Sasha’s Mom throughout the day ended up being some of my photos 🤍

In honor of today’s snow day, I figured it was the perfect time to share this beautiful winter elopement ❄️ Gay & Robert got married at a luxurious villa tucked away in the mountains of Blowing Rock in December, the perfect end to my 2024 wedding season! It’s rare that I get the chance to photograph a winter wedding in WNC - most couples opt for another season to avoid the cold and unpredictable weather - but for the couples that are up to brave the cold, I’ll gladly share my secrets with you to make it happen!

The key to getting married here in the winter is to have a dependable location like a venue or rental property. There are lots of beautiful places tucked away in the mountains that not only have beautiful views, but also make the perfect elopement weekend getaway. If you need convincing, I’m sure these photos will do the trick 😍
