Back on the college tour last night with Dr. Frank Turek at Western Carolina University!

We had a great turnout of students, a full evening of conversation, and more than an hour of Q&A to close out the night.

Our team was there to livestream the event and capture the entire evening, bringing the conversation to both the students in the room and viewers watching online.

Always good to be back on the road producing these events and seeing students stay engaged well into the Q&A.

What an action-packed two days with the FUZE team! 🎥

Last Thursday and Friday, eight of us came together at CFESA headquarters in Fort Mill, SC, to capture the 2026 CFESA Top Tech Throwdown and the incredible technicians who help keep America’s kitchens cooking.

This was a BIG production challenge. Five competition rooms were running simultaneously, each with both hot-side and cold-side challenges happening at the same time. That meant capturing the action across 10 different competition environments, while also producing interviews with contestants, winners, and CFESA board members.

We built out dynamic interview sets, covered the competition from every angle, captured the technicians doing what they do best, and gathered the stories behind the people and the competition.

There were a lot of technical moving parts and some very long days, but that made it even more satisfying to see everything come together successfully.

The entire FUZE team absolutely rocked it. It was a pleasure working alongside such a talented crew and helping make CFESA’s Top Tech Throwdown a success!

Yesterday was one for the books. 🎬

Day 1 of the CrossExamined Instructors Academy was an incredible success, and Andrew and I wrapped up one of the busiest production days we’ve had in a long time.

From the first session to the last podcast, interviews, behind the scenes moments, and everything in between, it felt like we were constantly moving.

It’s always an honor to work alongside Dr. Frank Turek and the CrossExamined team. They’re passionate about equipping others to defend the Christian faith, and we’re grateful to help preserve and share that message through video.

One of my good brothers Matthew Slyman is attending the conference and it’s been super cool to get to catch up with him.

The calm before the storm. 🎬

Today was setup day for the CrossExamined Instructors Academy here in Charlotte, and Andrew and I spent several hours dialing in the podcast set and production space. I’m really happy with how everything came together.

This afternoon we kicked things off by filming content with Dr. Frank Turek and Phoenix Hayes for their upcoming book, The War on Reality.

Tomorrow the conference officially begins, and we’ll be capturing several days of teaching, podcasts, interviews, and behind the scenes moments. It’s going to be a great week!

Just wrapped a meaningful weekend in Seattle filming Discovery Institute’s 22nd Annual Insiders Briefing and the 30th anniversary of the Center for Science and Culture.

Our team captured the full conference with a four-camera cinema setup, professional audio, supplemental lighting, donor testimonials, gimbal and slider footage, and aerials of the Fairmont Olympic Hotel and Smith Tower.

Grateful to serve an organization we genuinely believe in and excited to bring this story to life in the edit.

Some days on this job still leave me speechless.

Yesterday Andrew and I found ourselves in our nation’s capital capturing a private tour of the Capitol, and our tour guide was none other than Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. Dr. Turek brought us along to document the experience, and what an experience it was.

Speaker Johnson is a natural storyteller. He walked us through the history of the building and the founding of our country, mixing in funny stories and personal moments along the way. Equal parts educational and entertaining. We met so many great people throughout the day and I got to catch up with Zach, one of Frank’s sons, which is always a treat.

The tour ended in a place I will not forget, though this part we could not film. Standing where our nation’s history has unfolded in the House Chamber, listening to Speaker Johnson share incredible stories, was surreal.

We capped the night with dinner at the Capitol Hill Club, an experience all its own.

This one goes right to the top, alongside filming in Egypt a couple years back. I am endlessly grateful for the places Dr. Turek and this profession has taken me.

What a country. What a day.

52 videos in two days.

Spent earlier this week teaming up with my colleague Brian White of MediaZeus to produce 52 videos in two days for his client, the Parker Law Group. A packed schedule and a blast from start to finish.

We split the shoot between their office and the courthouse, and setting up in an actual courtroom was a first for me. Designing a look in that space, working with the light and the architecture to get it just right, was the kind of creative challenge we enjoy.

Two days, two locations, and a whole lot of content in the can. This is what video production is all about.

70 modules. Five days. One unforgettable week.

We wrapped our final day with Dr. Scott Masson yesterday and finished strong, closing out the week with 70 total modules produced inside Trinity College at the University of Toronto. The kind of week that will help students for years to come.

This year was a different experience in all the best ways. Toronto weather was fantastic, and the room we worked in was spacious and climate controlled, a stark upgrade from last year. It is amazing what the right setup does for a production.

Dr. Masson brought it every single day and the course attendees were a lot of the same from last year, so I enjoyed seeing and chatting with them throughout the week. Even customs cooperated on both sides of the border. Pro tip, getting to the airport early actually pays off. Last time taught me that one the hard way.

Now I just have a few hours to kill before my flight home. Worth every minute to be heading back to my girls and the promised land, the Carolinas.

That’s a wrap on Day 4, and the finish line is in sight.

Modules 46 through 59 with Dr. Scott Masson are done, which means we have produced 59 modules in four days inside Trinity College at the University of Toronto. The kind of week that tests your systems and proves your team.

Producing online course content like this for Southeastern University and the Discovery Institute never gets old. Watching a professor’s teaching become something students anywhere can access is the whole reason we do this.

One day left. Time to finish strong.
