Hiring a prom photographer might seem optional in the age of smartphones, but there are a few solid reasons people still choose to do it—and they go beyond just “better pictures.”
First, quality and consistency. A professional knows how to handle tricky lighting, or in this case: RAIN on prom day, group shots, and movement. Instead of blurry or poorly lit phone photos, you get sharp, well-composed images that actually look like keepsakes rather than quick snapshots.

If everyone’s relying on their phones, someone always ends up stuck behind the camera or looking at only their parent’s phone, meaning nobody is all looking the same direction in one photo!
