What an incredible afternoon photographing the amazing Miss Rucy at Semiahmoo! From graceful lines and powerful leaps to the quiet beauty of the shoreline, she brought so much confidence, movement, and artistry to every frame.

It feels so good to be back in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by open skies, coastal textures, and the kind of dramatic scenery that makes every dance shoot feel like an adventure.

Spent an incredible day in South End Charlotte creating with .b08 — turning an everyday city space into a stage of circles, symmetry, and strength. Every frame felt like a conversation between architecture and artistry. From powerful extensions to quiet moments of stillness, Cameryn brought elegance, control, and confidence to every pose.

This is why I love dance photography: finding beauty in unexpected places and capturing the way movement transforms a scene.

Golden autumn light, crisp air and creative energy come together when UNCSA dancers take their artistry outdoors. This past fall we explored the campus’s hidden corners — from sunlit stairs and concrete sculptures to modern glass facades and rolling green lawns. Each leap, stretch and arabesque transformed everyday surroundings into a stage, reminding me how the School of Dance cultivates not just technique but community and collaboration. I’m continually inspired by these artists’ passion and discipline; capturing them in motion against the bold lines of our campus architecture shows why dance moves us.

Where ancient redwoods hold the light and the forest breathes, movement becomes something timeless.

This Redwoods dance photoshoot was pure magic—strength, trust, and artistry unfolding beneath the canopy with .bird.e and . From suspended lines and deep extensions to quiet moments of connection, every pose felt shaped by the space itself. The scale of the forest humbles you… and somehow elevates the dance even more.

So grateful for dancers who are willing to climb logs, feel the earth, and give themselves fully to the moment. This is why I love creating dance in wild places—where nature becomes part of the choreography.
