Had the chance to photograph Chef Bhavin Chhatwani of in Raleigh — and he was one of those people who made the shoot easy.

I came in with a few ideas, he was completely willing to play along, and we ended up with some of my favorite frames from the shoot.

The best moments usually aren’t scripted.

Lately, I’ve been doing more “mic’d up” content — putting a mic on the people actually making things happen and letting them do their thing.

For this one, I mic’d up a volunteer while he was handing out food. The result? A lot of food, a lot of jokes, and a much better sense of what the experience was actually like.

That’s the stuff I want to capture.
