Charlotte’s 2026 Battle of the Ballrooms felt so much more like a reunion than a competition!

Stacy and I had such an incredible time seeing, dancing, and catching up with all of our favorite people from some of the best Ballroom Dance Studios in the greater Charlotte, NC area this afternoon!

Many people question where our name comes from. Today we tell that story in another exciting way, as our home states go head-to-head for the first time ever in the highly celebrated Rose Bowl.
•
Josh being from Alabama (South) and Stacy from Indiana (North) gave us the initial idea. But how do we connect it? Well… WE do!
•
We met in between those states; in the middle. So, placing us right in the heart of our company by way of our last names (Beman and Yergens), provided the connection that we needed… and south BY north Photography was born!
•
So, no matter the outcome, we celebrate both teams, as well as each other. This is our heritage. This is our story. This is how we came to be and are thrilled to continue to grow with you all.

Being a part of this year’s proved to be such an amazing addition to our list of recent events! Having that as our final event scheduled for the year is probably the best possible way to end the season.

Stacy and I have had so many incredible events lately, and want to thank you all for your continued support, partnerships and belief!

As we continue to work toward perfecting, publishing, and providing links to our most recent photo galleries and video orders, we are doing so with heavy hearts; having a recent passing in the family.

We both thank you all for the love, support and understanding for any delays. Individual updates will be sent out in the coming days.
